Super Cute Update to the 80s Original- but not identical to 80s versionPros (IMHO):-well made-face looks like the actual cartoon character ( to me, the face of the orig. always seemed to be more fashioned after the 80s doll than the cartoon)-nice & softsmells of strawberry ( in a good way, not overpowering )Cons:-smaller doll than the orig.-apron ties are white in the back- not green like the original-the body of the 80s rag doll had the simulation of SSC's ruffled pantaloons under the dress - just plain white ruffled material that was a part of the white body; they hung slightly over the tops of the green and white legs, making it look like the ruffle that would stick beneath the cartoon character's dress. The new one doesn't have this.Overall, super cute. I hope to get the other two & would REALLY love it if they'd do some of the other characters, like Orange Blossom and Blueberry Muffin.

Oh my gosh,this is the cutest doll! I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old niece and once I saw it I wanted to keep it! Nice size with the cutest strawberry shortcake outfit.Her face is so pretty and she smells like strawberries! Great packaging and they even had little holes near the face so you could smell the strawberry scent before opening! Awesome doll for the price! Don't hesitate to buy!

This doll is adorable! Got it for my daughter for her 6th birthday and it was a huge hit! She looks like the vintage dolls and smells just like Strawberry Shortcake always did when I was little. This was the perfect gift. It was even a great size. Not too small. Very happy with my purchase.

Strawberry Shortcake is absolutely adorable & just as lovely as her 1980's predecessor! She smells just like freshly picked strawberries too! I bought this as a gift for my 40-yr old daughter, whose childhood bedroom was fully themed "Strawberry Shortcake." Through the years she often mentioned how much she loved all her character dolls, especially the S.S. ragdoll. Imagine her delight when she opened that brightly wrapped gift on Christmas Eve night! She was thrilled! For a brief moment, my daughter was five again!

Perfect Strawberry Shortcake!!! She smells like strawberries like all the original dolls and toys from Strawberry Shortcake. It is a rag doll, I haven't taken it out from the box but the box is 14.5 inches tall. The doll has the classic outfit and is just as the rag doll I had when I was a kid with long spaghetti legs, yarn hair and big fluffy hat. it is a perfect gift for someone with 80's nostalgia, a collector or a kid, basically everyone because the doll is very cute.

Like others are saying, you can’t really smell anything. 😣 The one that I had as a child smelled so good!!! I really wanted for my daughter to be able to experience the true Strawberry Shortcake Doll. The wonderful scent and all. Other than the lack of strawberry scent, the doll is nice and seems to be well made.

Ya'll, for REAL.....I can't even with this doll. I work at a school and this sweet baby asked me to make her cupcakes with Strawberry Shortcake on top (Another review ;) . I was looking for a bargain gift that she would love to match her cupcakes and I ran across this beauty in the Amazon Warehouse. Memories of my childhood attacked me. I may have teared up just a little. (*wink, wink*). I couldn't wait to get it in the mail. I got the notification that it had been delivered and made my husband drop me off from school before getting the little ones from Grandma's. (smh...I Know, Horrible) Anyhow, I opened it and called my 11 year old daughter in there who loves all things Vintage. She had never seen an "old" Strawberry Shortcake and she had definitely never SMELLED one!! <3 This 35th Anniversary Doll will make any little girl smile!!
