If you like thin sliced deli meat, this is the one! 4 years and still working great!
Bought this a while back and this slicer is still slicing ham, beef roast, turkey, and chicken just like the deli's. Easy to use and cleanup.

Works just fine for the price.
This did the job for the price. The whole unit was not over heavy, so I was able to store in the basement and bring it up when needed. I bought a really good one before, but it was to heavy to carry around. For my use I did not need a high end one.

Good for home use.
I looked at and read reviews for dozens of this type of slicer prior to purchasing this one. I chose this one because of reviews and the apparent strength/ sturdy construction. It is important to keep in mind that this is not meant to be used in a business such as restaurants or a deli etc. It is definitely designed for home use. Overall this slicer preforms well despite some obvious design flaws.I have tested the slicer with summer sausage, deli meats and various types of cheese. I found that the biggest annoyance is the space between the feed table and the back of the machine. This excessive gap (about 3/8”) makes it impossible to slice all of the food being sliced, leaving you with an oddly cut or too thick of a slice at the end.The next flaw is the food pusher itself. The handle, so to speak, that’s used to push the food towards the back while slicing is plastic and too flexible. It does not hold well on the far end towards the blade. This would work much better if the handle on the pusher was more centered to give more even distribution of the pressure applied to the food being sliced, or perhaps if it were made out of metal like most of the machine.I found the blade to be very sharp as it should be and no damage or issues with the teeth. Unfortunately, there is another design flaw here. The blade is very slightly warped which if much worse, would not allow for even slicing.Next is the suction cups that hold it down for safe slicing. These suction cups are very strong, maybe too strong. The unit will not move when properly set to a smooth countertop or surface. In my case, while trying to move the slicer after the third use, one of the suction cops held so tight that the mounting screw pulled through it. I had to remove the screw and remount the suction cup. This will likely be an ongoing issue and may be corrected with a better mounting option by the manufacturer.Cleaning is quick and easy as it does break down nicely. The table, pusher, and blade are easily removed giving full access to clean the machine itself and the parts can be cleaned easier as well. I personally prefer hand washing parts so I did not check to see if the parts are dishwasher safe. Refer to the manual on that.Again, Overall it is a good product so far and I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

A Game Changer for Sourdough Bread!
I have struggled to slice my homemade sourdough loaves. They are so crusty! I recently bought a wooden slicer with slots for guides, and that helped a little, but not enough. After slicing three loaves for my freezer with a serrated knife - I was worn out and decided to order an electric slicer. (I broke an electric knife trying to slice this bread a while back.) I read the reviews and this one seemed to be the best choice. (*Disclaimer: I am vegan so I filtered reviews just for bread. I don't care about slicing meat or cheese.) It was delivered the day after I ordered it. Oh my gosh! It is a game changer. I usually bake at least two loaves at a time and slice them for the freezer so I can take out just a couple of slices at a time. We are retired, so we can't eat a whole loaf before it goes stale otherwise. This slicer is so easy to use. I raved about it to my older sister who is also starting to make sourdough bread. She didn't think she needed one till she saw me use mine. Now she bought one too and loves it just as much as I do. Have only had it for one month, but have cut eight loaves of bread with it, and it handled them very nicely. I cut it on the widest setting because we like thick slices. See photos. Will update this review if anything changes. So far, so good!

You get what you pay for!
I bought this food slicer because I am now retired and hope to expand my culinary repertoire. Two of the main functions of such a slicer, at least in theory, is to micro-adjust the thinness of meat one hopes to use for specific recipes and, for me, to use the serrated blade to uniformly slice home baked loaf bread. This slicer performs these essential tasks, but not with ease of effort and, in terms of bread slicing, not without destroying occasional slices of bread that get stuck between the blade and the rear opening. The meat slicing blade is sharp, but overall the motor lacks enough power to efficiently carry-through a task that one’s local deli does with ease. Also, when I had braised a pork shoulder to slice thin for a Cuban sandwich, I quickly discovered that instead of having clean slices I had a mound of chopped pork spilling out the other side. Meat must be frozen and then slightly thawed in order to get thin slices of pork or beef brisket. Also, the sliding carriage is not wide enough to accommodate the entire expanse of your average brisket (and other larger items) so all meat must be trimmed-down to fit the carriage and, thus, a less than proper presentation of meat will be the outcome. Ugh!Lastly, the suction cup feet do NOT always prevent the marching from sliding away from you once the work begins. This makes for a very unsafe process. I found myself shutting the machine off, wiping the counter, re-starting, and having to “chase” the slicer down the granite counter top on more than one occasion.Bottom line: you get what you pay for. I should have purchased a basic commercial quality slicer given my particular needs and expectations. I do not think that any of the other cheap slicers featured on Amazon as comparable models would be any better, but that is only speculation on my part.
