Q: Is this a good tool to drill holes in masonry ceiling to hang a lamp? My hammer drill with masonry bit is not doing the job.

Yes.. they take their own bits, but it does a great job drilling holes. I've drilled 1/2" holes through my solid 8" thick foundation several times. It is hard concrete with river rock from the 1940's so it is very hard. It goes through pretty quick.

1 year repair / replace parts. ive dropped mine ran it for hours on end and it still runs perfect. so far anything bosch tool related ive been happy with.
