Skyrim on Switch—Portable, Powerful, and Still Brutal in the Best Way
I didn’t think Skyrim could fit in my hands and still feel this big—but the Nintendo Switch version proves otherwise. It’s the full game. Massive open world, rich storylines, endless customization, and that same freedom to go wherever, do whatever, and become whoever. No shortcuts, no watered-down port. It plays clean, whether docked or handheld.Performance is solid—smooth frame rate, quick loads, and controls that feel natural on the Joy-Cons. Visually, it holds up better than expected. The world still pulls you in with its atmosphere: snowy mountain passes, glowing caves, torchlit inns, and wide open skies. The audio hits too. That intro theme still sends chills. What makes this version even more immersive is Survival Mode. You’re not just slaying dragons—you’re surviving the wild. You have to eat, sleep, and stay warm or you’ll start to break down. No fast travel, limited carry weight, and yes—you can literally freeze to death in a blizzard if you’re not prepared. It adds a whole new layer of realism and challenge. Every fire matters. Every campsite is a decision. It’s not just epic fantasy—it feels lived in.It even comes with all the major DLCs—Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn. You’re not missing anything. You can build homes, hunt vampires, tame dragons, and explore Solstheim.Bottom line: this is the real Skyrim, in your pocket. It’s deep, immersive, and still one of the greatest games ever made. Now I can explore Tamriel from the couch or the road, and it hasn’t lost an ounce of power.

The best open world game ever!!
This is by far the best open world video game out there, and combined with the Nintendo gyro aiming there's nothing close. The game has some glitches, like land forms that seem to float above the ground level. At first I thought Bethesda was not doing quality control and working out all these issues, but in the end it just gives the game more appeal as you look forward to finding some new bizarre stuff in the game the developers missed! There are plenty of new updates and new quests to go on. I also love that you can get Links sword and shield from the Zelda game! Definitely get this game, it works on Switch and Switch 2! Gyro aiming should be standard on all gaming platforms!

Great game, but skip it if you've played it on any other platform
I picked it up for the nostalgia, and wound up not going very far this time. If it were my first experience with the game, this version would be 100% solid -- I played on the Playstation, so I know it's doable on consoles. But simply "also having it on the Switch" isn't good enough reason to buy it again, so I probably shouldn't have.If you haven't played Skyrim and you like a bit of swords and sorcery, it's still a fairly modern-feeling game. Has a lot of depth and replay value. Baldur's Gate borrowed a lot from it, for instance. But if you've played it elsewhere, I'd give it a pass.

Love Skyrim
I love Skyrim. I play this game everyday. It’s really fun and like how it’s open world. So I can do different things each time I role play.

Decent enough.
It’s got bugs, but, 99% at the time it’s not an issue.First time playing Skyrim. Not exactly the best Open World RPG ever, but, it’s pretty good. WAY over complicated without offering flexibility in gameplay. It’s a neat game, but, it’s not 150 hours good.

Ironically the best/top ten best open world game on switch
Graphically it's not as good as PS4 etc. but if you have a switch just trust me and treat yourself with this game you will not regret it.
