Perfect transformers figure
The media could not be loaded. Posing ability is perfect, aside from a slightly hindered shoulder articulation that due to shape and trasnsformation could not be better. The transformation is the right balance of complex enough for me to both enjoy it and be impressed by the ingenuity of it all. The design accuracy is on point in both modes with bonus features like the saw hand and visor for recreating some movie scenes. This is a great robot action figure and a cool car and a fidget toy when going in between, exactly what a masterpiece of a transformers toy should be. The included matrix and blue effects are nice but leaving them on the guns will strip some paint off the tips but won't look bad or anything. Should be everything you want in a Hot Rod figure. 10/10 and retailed at $35.00 USD

Awesome figure! Great Buy!
This figure is great. From head to toe, this figure looks amazing. The articulation is great and it can support a lot of cool poses. Great for display and play. The only downsides are the size for the price, as it is essentially a $20 figure with a bunch of accessories that makes it $30. Besides that, the articulation in the arms gives a little bit to be desired. Other than that then, the figure is near perfection, even competing with the masterpiece representations in my perspective. This product is an instant buy for anyone looking for a good-looking, streamlined figure that looks spectacular. The only thing that brings it down slightly is once again the price. Takara Tomy and Hasbro really outdid themselves this time!

This figure is perfect.
The figure is a must buy for any transformer collector the articulation is amazing and looks just like hot rod from the 1986 movie. He comes with a lot of accessories which makes up for the deluxe class size really does feel like a masterpiece figure. Transformation a little bit tricky to get everything to tap in correctly so there is clearance for the wheels to move, overall a perfect transformers studio series figure to add to the 86 movie.

Is Hot Rod the best Transformer?
A case can be made that this is the truth. He’s both a great character from cannon, plus an insanely cool toy. The car mode is just awesome and the robot mode has many features including putting on sunglasses or whatever they are and he has a buzz saw as well.

Awesome transformer. Looks great and fairly easy to transform. Has the matrix of Leadership and has taken a beating. This picture is after a year of abuse. Love ot

Better than the masterpiece
This is an absolutely amazing figure! It has many great accessories including effects parts and flip out visor and hand parts. This figure is somehow more screen accurate and poseable than the $200 Masterpiece figure. It even has opening hands! Which doesn't seem like much, but for a deluxe size figure, that's pretty dang cool. Some minor problems would be the arm can either go straight down or at a 45 degree angle, similar to seige Megatron's elbow joint. A more serious problem is the excessive use of clear plastic being used for pivotal joints. It thankfully hasn't broken yet, but I am very wary when transforming the figure. I also kind of wish there was a place to store the Matrix, but it's not a deal breaker. Overall very pleased.

Great Hot Rod, awful Voyager
I wanted this guy because I wanted a HotRod with good articulation. That it delivers, but the voyager price point for what it is essentially a small deluxe with extra junk might detter potential buyers. I am glad I got it because the Kingdom Rodimus doesn't really talk to me the way this guy does. Great Hot Rod, awesome articulation, complex but fun transformation and a ver good car mode. Other than that, there's not much to this figure. It lacks the 5mm ports other figures on parallel lines have. The weapons (guns) are not that good design wise, there are better looking guns somewhere in the sister lines, but they are accurate to the character.

Amazing! But Find a YouTube Video for Instructions to Transform.
Simply amazing. I prefer this to the Masterpiece Edition that I paid 4 times as much for a few years back. Robot and alt modes are both spot-on (with the exception of his "collar", which should be red, but would probably be a nightmare for production). I was surprised by how light it was when I took it out of the packaging. The joints are all snug and overall it's just a fantastic representation of the character. The transformation is a little complex, and the instructions, at least to me, were not very helpful, so it might be a good idea to find a YouTube video where someone talks you through it and points out the spots to be careful with. The legs don't seem to work out so great in alt mode, though thankfully everything tabs into place. These are minor complaints, and I have to say, as someone who's been collecting these off and on since a kid, this is probably one of my Top 5 favorites of all time...maybe even Top 3. Definitely my favorite version of this character.Highly recommended!
