A well deserved 5 star rating
After deciding to leave the world of fixed line internet behind. We needed something a little more beefy than a cheap android phone with hotspot on and this has delivered and much more! The 4g signal we receive is very similar to the moto e5 phone we were previously using with hotspot and also the same as the tp link mr 6400 which I also tried. Likewise the wifi signal was similar if not slightly better. The router has a removable cover at the pack where you can insert the sim card. It has a standard sim slot so if your sim is micro or nano size then may be worth getting an adaptor or like me do a trial and error approach with a nano sim size, it takes a couple of goes but once you get it right it's not like it's going to be removed. There is also an external aerial input should you require however I have not tried this. Good to know it's available though should I want to try and improve the reception in the future. The lights on the front provide the usual helpful icons of reception strength. It also has a colour changing icon for whether its on 3g or 4g which is nice. You can choose to turn off the lights at a set time is needed which is also a nice feature. What I think is the stand out feature for me is that it has voip functionality built in. I was keen to keep a landline presence, so signed up with sipgate to get a virtual landline number. Typed in the voip details into the router admin page and voila! it worked. One thing to note is that the port on the back of the router is an rf11 port so you will need an rf11 to standard bt line adaptor to connect a standard telephone. There were plenty of options on the router admin pages. A nice feature was the ability to read and send sms messages aswell as well as add contacts. The router can also receive incoming calls to the sim number as well as the voip number which is handy.Overall I'm very impressed with this router which provides a very integrated solution to mobile internet and virtual landlines.I hope this review is helpful

Great small router with 1 ethernet port and also bridge mode
This has been used as replacement for my Virgin internet as the cost got too high for the use I was having of the whole package. It only has a single ethernet port which a shame but I am currently using it in bridge mode and the other router has multiple port and a ton of wifi connections allowed.Great router for a small household. Allows the use of wireless broadband effortlessly but this is not an option for people that have multiple devices being used at once as the 4G reception in the UK is generally not as stable and reliable as one would want.

Great device, especially if you have an elderly......
Great device, especially if you have an elderly family member that lives somewhere where there isn't any landline or broadband connection and prefers to use a standing house telephone than a mobile phone. This device allows any sim with broadband package to be shared on a wifi through 4g, it has ethernet/lan port so if you want to extend the internet through cable devices this is deal but it only has 1 port which means you need a sharing hub if you got more than 1 cable device. It also had a RJ-11 port so if you buy RJ-11 to a RJ-45 socket, you can plug any house phone into this router and be able to receive phone calls on the mobile number and even make calls using that mobile number, or you can setup voip/sipgate system which as I said, makes this usually for the elderly who don't like using mobile phones as the router can be used as a house phone with the right attachment.

Does what it says on the box
Bought this as having intermitent connectivity from provider as BT were up rating cabling somwhere. Worked well but 4G signal better for adding the single aerial pinched from old wifi box. You access it by unclipping the cover at the back high up. Works well for gaming, keepinng the kids happy. Wifi range good for a house that is notauriously bad, have to use extenders due to high density stone walls, but this is better than expected through the house. Couldn't directly connect the network port to my existing netwok as seemed to fail, unsure why. May work for one wired device. Worked well with multiple devices accessing wifi thus internet via it. Only thing to consider is your 4G signal and some data package. Smarty SIM came with it account and payment as many other SIM only services but good service where we are and comparable to other network service providers. Can be moved as otherb indicate it 12V DC supply from the mains adaptor supplied. No option to hang or wall mount but lightweight and book shelf placed almost.

it worked first time out of box no faff
i bought this as my second attempt at getting better signal for broadband, being tied to a landline that for the past15years was tied at 2mb to start with and then getting an amazing upgrade to 3mb...wowzer!the first router i got from another seller on amazon (same price range money being tight) but this kept dropping connectionso was doubtfull this one would work either?WRONG this arrived i unboxed ,put in a sim, plugged it in and started pc dreading the same outcome as beforeno way! this connected straight away after inputting the router pass,it selected the right netwok no faffing around with any settings, connected to speedtest and was blown away at 44mb.........adios landline.where i live is rural and technology hasn't been discovered yet! (or it has and they just milk us for the money)anyways this was the cheaper model but by no means be put off with that,i wouldn't hesitate to buy againdefinate 5 stars from me
