Christmas Gift
Bought this as a Christmas gift, but it appears to be a fine when I inspected it. The bearings felt a bit dry, so it takes a little force to open compared to my Civivi knife, even after trying to work in the bearings for some time, so it certainly needs a little oil. The handle though is way more comfortable than what I bought, and the sloped jimping ramp feels perfect for thumb placement. The G10 texturing on this knife has a really nice rubbery grip feeling on the hand as well. This is certainly the most comfortable Civivi knife I ever handled. 9Cr18MoV is supposed to be good with edge retention and corrosion resistance, making this a good budget steel if you work by the beach, and the black finish on the blade protects it further. Green knife handles usually look great, complimenting the blade. The blade is big enough to last a long time, as you can sharpen away lots of the steel and still have a big knife to use. I want one for myself now.

Seems to be high quality, looks and feels great.
First the look. Colors and design, earth tones looks great. The weight of the knife is worth noting. Feels right and feels balanced. It’s not a super light knife like Benchmade is pushing out now. I’ve always been a benchmade knife owner. They are my go too and I own quite a few of them now. Sadly, most of their knifes now are super light, feels strange and unnatural and their designs seems to have changed.I had this knife in my cart for a while and kept looking at it and reading the reviews and because I’m traveling right now. I thought I’ll pick this up. Love it! I’m surprised. Very strong, it opens fast!!! Very fast! And it’s smooth. Feels as smooth as any high end or custom knife out there. Mine came out of the box very sharp. If you’re on the edge - pardon the pun! About buying this knife. Totally worth it.

Holds an edge very well.
For a cheap knife, it is very well made. Nice and tight and very smooth to open and close. It holds an edge very well. I own dozens of more expensive knives. This one holds its own. If I have any complaints, it's the shape of the pocket clip

Looks nice, but works better!
I liked the previous Civivi knife (a Bo) that I bought a while back, so I decided to try another. I liked the look of the carbon fiber and copper foil in epoxy, and, since the price came down, it was not a big risk. I’ve had it just a few weeks now, and it is my current favorite EDC. I use mine at home for random stuff, but at work I use it to cut plastic banding for steel fence posts, to cut plastic wrap on pallets, and other warehouse tasks. It is rugged: in a bit of a hurry with a customer standing there, I levered the blade through some green plastic banding against some fence posts. It was solid and remains solid. It’s a beefy knife, but very comfortable in the hand. The pocket clip is tight and holds the knife securely in place. It is right-handed, tip-up carry. The clip can be switched to the other side. The action is smooth and tight, and remains solid with no play in the blade, even after some serious use over the last month. It is easy to open with the right hand using the flipper tab. The liner lock is also easy to operate with the thumb. Yes, it can be easily opened and closed using one hand, excellent for when you may be up on the ladder or have the left hand otherwise occupied. Further, it can be opened and closed easily even when wearing either work or nitrile gloves. The epoxy handles are muted, and not showy, and I’ve had occasion to scuff it a few times: it has stood up to the abuse really well. After a few weeks, having dropped it on a dirty concrete floor multiple times, the epoxy has held up and resisted scratching quite well. The black finish on the blade and clip is pretty hardy as well, though that has begun to wear through. The handle shape is very comfortable. The blade shape is attractive with plenty of steel going all the way out to the tip. It is stout but practical. The blade grind has a graceful line that is attractive and leaves enough metal in the blade to ensure its strength. There is a very short edge bevel, probably made possible by the blade geometry. This contributes nicely to the overall ruggedness. The blade steel is quite good. I have a Rada sharpener (the one with the overlapping carbon steel discs) that I pass this knife through every few days and it takes a quick and sharp edge, ready for whatever work I will set it to. When recently sharpened, the blade goes through plastic wrap on the pallets easier than paper. After a few days, it is still sharp but does require some quick attention to get the edge back to that condition. This is an attractive knife, rugged and stout, with a unique-looking set of scales. Its design and operation were well-considered. The blade grind is excellent. It is a fantastic knife for work chores, and the price came down just enough to tick off that the final box on my checklist and convince me to put my money down on the barrel-head. This is a good knife. I am quite pleased with the purchase.

Great quality, Great feel, Great knife!
I really like this knife. I got it after my Gerber Evo crapped out on me. It was definitely weird getting used to a knife more than double the size, but it's probably one of the best decisions that I've ever made.Like everyone says, it comes razor sharp out of the box, and it hasn't really gotten any duller after 3 months. I've chopped through hard plastic, wood, and all sorts of other things with almost no wear. It holds an edge very well. The only inconvenience that I experienced was the pocket clip comming loose. This seems to be common and was mentioned in other reviews. I just tightened it back down and it is good to go again. I will probably locktite the little screws at some point too.The handle is super comfortable and I love the texture. The finger cutouts make a big difference compared to previous knives, especially since the knife is a pretty good size.It plays relatively well with my phone in my pocket and isn't ever too uncomfortable. I tend to wear basketball shorts most of the time so even though my shorts move around a lot it has never come out or even come unclipped a bit. The tension of the clip is a great balance between strength and ease of use.The most interesting part to me is the fact that these are made in China. For $60, it is a damn good knife and the construction is beyond what I'd expect for a budget Chinese knife.Over all, if you need a good EDC knife, this is a great choice.Update: So I'm at the 5 month mark now and I have some significant news. While prying on a peice of plastic, I managed the snap a whole 1/8 inch off of the tip of the blade. I know that knives arent pry tools and shouldn't be used in that way but I was being stupid and it bit me in the behind. So just as a bit of a warning, dont under any circumstances, use this knife as a pry tool. It will 100% snap and leave you without a usable knife.
