Don't forget the antenna adapter!
First off, let me say that I put this in my 2009 Nissan Frontier and it worked perfectly. All the wires coming from this adapter were color-coded using the industry standard colors, and they were also labeled on both the wires and the packaging. That makes it very easy to connect to most after-market head units since you just have to connect the wires that are the same color together. As far as the connections went, I used standard crimp connectors that I already had on hand - wiring this thing up was extremely simple and fast. This has nothing to do with this specific adapter, but I think I should mention it - it's been 20 years since I've installed a car stereo and I didn't realize that some manufacturers are no longer using the standard antenna connectors in their cars. Because of that, you will probably also need another adapter to connect the antenna input from the car to a standard antenna jack from an after-market stereo. I got caught having to make a special run to Best Buy and spending a bit more than the Amazon price since I wasn't expecting that.Overall, I highly recommend this harness. You can install your head unit without one - but I think the advantages are well worth the low price.

Best Quality Harnesses
These are the best quality harnesses you can buy, I worked at a install business for several years and this is all we used and they never failed us like others. The wires stay tight and the appropriate size along with being a great price. You can't go wrong

2010 Subaru Forester and ATOTO F7
I ended up purchasing the Warehouse Deal one that was "like new". It was not in the package so I didn't have a wire guide and had to look that up on the internet. It also smelled like it had been in a perfume bath. But aside from that it did work out for me. But a better option would have been a specific Subaru pre-made cable that can be searched for on the internet. For the Metra, If you want to get your SWC (steering wheel controls) to work with an ATOTO F7 you will need to connect the brown wire (labeled Phone mute) to the ATOTO harness Steering Wheel Key#(+) Brown/Black wire. Then connect the Orange/White "Dimmer" wire to the ATOTO harness Steering Wheel Key(+) Orange/Black wire.Lastly the small back ground wire will connect to the larger black Chassis Ground and the ground on the ATOTO harness (3 wires together). Then in the setup menu of the ATOTO F7 follow the SWC Custom setup. Read the manual for how to. It is very easy. Basically, press the screen key to highlight it, press and hold the button on the vehicle until the radio acknowledges. Do this for each key. It works awesome.

Good harness, solid connection
Exactly what I needed to tap the factory harness without cutting the factory wires. I bought the male plug also (71- version) and they both had all of the necessary wires to send factory signal to the amplifiers and take power back from the amps. With the two harnesses, I can restore to factory in just a few minutes.

Great Product… But
This harness worked as needed and fits the description of my car but! But, remember that if it’s not a Subaru model car, this harness will NEED to be grounded to a metal frame to ensure that it is grounded firmly. NOTE* this is very important because it does not have a self grounding wire to this.
