Have worked reliably on rescued cats and dogs for a years now.
I had to update: These are an indispensable tool for taming strays and new adoptees. I have never had a bad reaction. I've had over thirty cats and dogs cats come through our home, from feral, starving and obviously abused to just discarded when their humans died or moved away. These calming tabs have never caused a reaction other than better sleep and an easier transition to being loved and cared for. I am so grateful for this harmless but effective tool that helps the discarded and abused animals recover from trauma to become adoptable. Thank you Pet Naturals!I've been using these regularly over a few years for all our rescues and have never had a bad reaction. The cats won't eat the tabs for "cats" but like the ones for Dogs AND Cats. These have never failed us.It took some time for our own cat to eat them, but now she does and I can finally sleep all night (she likes to groom me at 4 a.m.. For our rescued dogs, it really helps them adjust to new surroundings; cats, neighborhood dogs and noises, and new people. For our latest rescue, an abused, arthritic, and abandoned (on the street and helpless) Australian Shepherd cross, it has made the transition to a loving and quiet home easy for him and his health is improving because he is not stressed or worried. He gets two every night for now. He was having horrific, violent nightmares, but without making him groggy, these tabs have enabled his recovery and now peaceful sleep. Update: nine months later this old boy is sleeping peacefully at night, al night. Our Shelty gets them to help her adjust to the new rescues who come to us...the old boy we brought home in late December is respectful and they quickly adjusted. They have helped these two dogs with our latest (a week ago) rescue. This new girl (pit bull and something large and sleek) has also benefited greatly from these....adjusting to being cared for and loved unconditionally after being passed around and abandoned for years. Some of our rescues are not "adoptable" and remain with us. She is one of them; a large, sweet 10 yr old with terrible separation anxiety. Fortunately I do not have to work outside my home and she will remain with us.I tried the product made just for cats...but the cats won't eat them. The ferals will now eat the Dog/Cat version so that they don't have a collective stroke when I enter the room to feed them. And this Dog/Cat combo, broken up and mixed in strong smelling food, has finally allowed me to stroke them. Two of the remaining three now come up and rub against my legs. They will soon be adoptable themselves. It has taken two years to get this far, as they were not tiny kittens when their feral kitten mother finally brought them to me. They are beautiful, independent, mauve gingers (fur looks pink in muted sunlight) who would never have survived on my street! They now want to be petted by my hands as well as brushed, so will soon be in the adoption program. I could not have done this without this product. IThese tabs have been indispensable for taming feral cats....but again, the product for dogs AND cats. These tabs benefited an insecure older rescued black German Shepherd we had until Spring 2021, adored by all the kittens and cats who have been fostered by us, before she passed from cancer. These calming chews helped her considerably as she began her decline...she felt less anxious and was loved by us all through the end.

THEY WORK! BUT BE CAREFUL!! READ THIS REVIEW!!!!
I gave these 4 stars because they REALLY WORK, I took a star off because they are deceiving... BEWARE: READ MY STORY: I gave ONE of these to my 55 pound doberman mix who is TOTALLY CRAZY in the afternoon the day they arrived with no expectations because nothing calms her down, ever. Nothing happened. The next day, again in the afternoon, I gave her ONE again. An hour later she was drooling uncontrollably, knocking her head into walls and furniture while walking in the house, walking like she was drunk, her tongue was hanging out of the side of her mouth, she would not eat or drink water and was visibly disoriented and confused and distressed. My husband and I spent the entire rest of the day taking turns sitting with her on a blanket outside trying to put water in her mouth and just watching her breathe and sleep to make sure she was "ok". And yes, we considered taking her to an emergency vet. We didn't do that because we know our dog really well, we've seen her on the verge of death sick, injured, terrified, we know her whole spectrum from great to terrible. And we watched her every second until after midnight when she started to come out of the outrageously intense "drugged" state she was in. The next morning she was back to normal. So... how should I end this review? These things worked on a dog who has been given A LOT of natural remedies for fear, anxiety, aggression, reactivity, etc. and showed absolutely no sign of change from any of them. That means that there is an ingredient or combination of ingredients in these things that is REALLY EFFECTIVE. And she is totally fine, it was apparently just too much for her system. It could be that they become more effective if given daily seeing as there was no effect the first day and the second day with just TWO treats in her system she acted like she was on heroin for about 7 hours. I don't think there is anything bad about these, in fact, to be honest, I'm relieved we actually found something that works on her and no, I didn't throw them out, but no, I haven't given her any since that day. They are sitting in her treat drawer, wrapped up tight in a ziplock bag, way in the back, ha! I will keep them on hand for emergency situations. I have also considered breaking off a TINY piece and giving it to her and then watching her closely as an experiment. Anyway that's my story, sorry it was so long, but I know there are a lot of dog moms (and dads) out there who might not have to go through the scary situation I did if they read this first. I'm not saying don't get these, but I am saying be careful with the dosage!! Also I checked out the company and they seem great. Good luck!

If Only My Dogs Could Tell Me Something Was Wrong
I have been giving this product to both of my pups for about 6 months. Initially it was to help them sleep through the night. Slowly I started noticing that one of my dogs was developing anxiety. I thought this was because I was having medical issues though and because I had anxiety. Dogs can feed off of your feelings. As months go by Munchkin my one dog got very hyperactive, more anxious, very panicky at night. She was always breathing fast. Now this is a dog who always loves to play. Never wants to go to bed… and this was something that was slowly building up over time. It didn’t happen over night with her or I would have stopped this immediately. After reading some of the reviews, I realized that maybe it was this. I tapered her down - even though I was only giving her 1/2 to 3/4 a night… I have been giving it to her for so long I don’t know what it did to her system. After one week she is completely off of it. She is less hyperactive, not breathing heavily, not as anxious - even though I am, she is even sleeping through the night! I will never, ever do this again to her or my other dog. For reference, munchkin and Sandy are yorkies. Munchkin who had more of a problem is 10 pounds (just a taller dog) and Sandy is 6 pounds. If you give this to your dog, just please be careful. Every dog reacts differently but they can’t tell you if something is wrong. So even if it is something over time… just be careful.
