How much weight can it hold ? (I have 10 oz lantern with batteries included)

Hi,It's no problem for hold your 10 oz lantern.

I need a taller lantern holder if I buy two of these could I add extra height with the other set of poles?

Yes I believe you can add a extra pole to the middle section. I personally wouldn't recommend it because the stability of the pole won't be very good. Its actually not the best stability to begin with.
