Awesome monitor
My husband and I were terrified to bring our premature baby home without some way to monitor her breathing. She had some episodes in the NICU where she stopped breathing so we ordered several monitors just in case when they told us she was ready to come home. This was the one we kept. It’s so comforting to know that if she stops breathing, we are alerted right away even if we aren’t in the room. Putting on her breathing wear sleep sack is part of our baby girl’s sleep routine and she loves her “blankie”! The alerts for sound and motion are a little obnoxious (we live on a busy street so big trucks driving by set off the motion alerts and sirens set off the sound alarms so we even get them when we aren’t home) but it is awesome whenever she’s in her crib because we know if she’s waking up or whatever. If you are deciding between this and the owlet, we preferred this. It’s an investment in peace of mind and super helpful. It even has a nightlight and sound machine built in! My only complaint would be that I wish I could turn off the sound for when the baby is out of the crib “too long”. Sometimes it wakes her up just before I put her back so I have to remember to turn off the monitoring as soon as I get her out to nurse/rock/change/bottle her. It’s really cute getting to see the little updates/videos too! I didn’t think I was going to love it this much but I’m so glad we got it!

From a deaf parent…
The Nanit Pro is an excellent product for so many reasons. The ability to view our daughter through the video stream, the built in night light so we can see what we’re doing when we need to take her out of bed, the built-in sound machine, and the video recaps to give us a sense of how long she’s sleeping consecutively. Highly, highly recommend this product. Now for my fellow deaf and hard of hearing parents…one of the reasons we chose this monitor in particular is because of the ability to push notifications from the monitor to our phones and smart watches. However this is where I discovered a major limitation - there is no smart watch that allows me to customize the length or intensity of the vibration alerts so it wakes me up when she cries at night. Which is super unfortunate, because the Nanit is excellent at picking up on her cries throughout the house and not just right next to her. I’ve tried multiple other systems and they just don’t match the sensitivity level of the Nanit. During the day, it’s great because I can be anywhere in the house and receive the quick buzz to let me know she’s crying. But I’m still working on the night piece. With that said, I’ll keep searching for a solution for my particular needs, but as far as baby monitors go, we love our Nanit!

The Best Baby Monitor
I tried out a radio baby monitor before Nanit due to concerns over WiFi hacking/security. However, soon after my newborn arrived I realized that carrying around a baby, burp cloths, my phone, and a monitor was too much. I opted to switch to Nanit to have the baby monitor on my phone.I have absolutely loved the Nanit. The picture quality is unmatched by the other monitors I’ve tried, including the Nest cameras. It has all the features we need and even puts cute little videos together as your baby grows up. My newborn is now a toddler and I have a new, newborn, and we have been using the split screen feature every night. I continue to use the original camera with no issues and bought another for the new baby. As a bonus, my immediate family also loves being able to check on their grandkids/niece and nephew. It makes our out of town relatives feel closer. The only con I can think of is the price! If you can afford it, this is one of my most used baby items.

Amazing baby monitor!
I was skeptical of this monitor at first because I wanted a monitor that came with a physical screen I could carry around or settle down without only having to look on my phone BUT the app also has sound and notifications when my baby moves and you have the option to keep the sound on even if your phone is closed and I realized that’s all I really need. You can also set the sensitivity of movement for your notifications meaning you can get notified by just dust flying across the camera or make it less sensitive where your baby has to make a big movement for you to get notified. This monitor tracks everything your baby does. From movements to how they sleep and even how they are put to sleep and they send you tips and advice on how you can help your little one become a better sleeper! It’s almost creepy how much this monitor tracks but it’s so helpful and it also helps me remember her last nap, her last feeding (we get very forgetful during these times so that’s a HUGE PLUS) They also notify you of little achievements like having your little one sleep through the night or fall asleep on their own. It’s really awesome. All in all this Nanit exceeded our expectations and I can’t imagine not having it. I literally check back on it for everything!

Very easy to use/great stats tracking
We love nanit a lot - it helps us stay informed while our baby sleeps in the other room. It does it’s job, but the subscription fee is quite another expense if you consider the total price of the product.Pros:1) accurate alert (little false alert for us so far)2) our baby loves the waves sound that’s part of the music feature you can use to soothe your baby to sleep3) the data tracking system is quite cool and useful for usCons:1) extra money you need to pay per year to use the features of the app2) pixels are not as high as miku pro, so when we zoom in to see the baby’s face, it’s not very clear, especially at night3) the way the app calculates the baby’s sleep efficiency is not very comprehensive (the way it counts day and night is quite arbitrary)/rigid, thus less accuratewe haven’t had the need to use the breath tracking accessory cuz our baby doesn’t like to be swaddled/wrapped aroundOverall we are happy with the product
