I recently got a 1965 Ford Mustang to work on and get running. I bought two of these to help protect the fenders while working on the engine. I am so glad I did.The covers are held in place with magnets that are pretty strong! Strong enough to hold tools and screws and such that you stick to them. Plus I have used them to place tools and other items on and have had no marks or other problems with them. Covers the full fender in the front and I will be using them for a while. No tears and clean them off with a simple wipe of a cloth with some basic cleaner on it.I really like these and will be using them from now on to protect the paint of the car while working in the engine compartment.

Strong magnets, velcro straps (not metal) material could be a bit thicker. Overall solid product.

I wish it was a little bigger (although I didn't even pay any attention to dimensions when I purchased), and also wish the magnets were a little stronger, however my car aficionado father thought it was great! It is not leather, but a vinyl type material.

I bought two of these from my car. The price was right. I have a 1972 Pontiac and they cover about 3/4 of the fender.They work well for a quick look inside the engine compartment or when you are putting oil into the engine. The magnets hold great. They are a little thin. When I was doing carburetor work, I put these down AND put another towel on top of them. If you want something 100% reliable, spend money on the good ones. For a quick peek under the hood, these work fine. I rate them as average.

The magnets are great. I removed the Velcro fasteners because they got in the way more times than not and the magnets hold them in place just fine. If you have a corvette, I don't know what to tell you, but for a metal car, these are nice. They are a little smaller than I expected, but I use them a lot.
