Diamond Sharpener w/150,325 & 1200 Grit Large Flat Plate Diamond on SS Surfaces,Non-Slip Holder
I have a lot of knives as well as some tools (plane, wood chisels) which benefit from an occasional resharpening to get a good edge on them. This diamond sharpening system has 3 large flat diamond grit plated surfaces that are on Stainless Steel. The triangular shape makes it easy to flip to a new grit. (Pictures 1-3). The sharpener plate holder is securely held and does not move when I draw the knife along the plate. The long plastic base has a wide non-slip bottom surface. (Picture 4). This comes with an instruction sheet which recommends against using any oil or water on the sharpener. It can be rinsed off and thoroughly dried if need be.The diamond grit plates are quite big at ~8" x 2 3/4" not counting the blue plastic triangular base the plates are on. The 3 grits look uniformly thick and well applied. The grits are 150, 325, and 1200 which is a good choice. A final polish on a leather strop with a compound will add the finishing touch to give a razor edge. This will take practice maintaining a specific angle (15 to 17 degrees for fine cutlery) as I draw my knife edge across the flat plate. Because this system is raised up off the table surface and big, it is easier to draw a knife (or tool) at an even held angle as there are no obstructions to bump. This diamond grit surface looks very durable and won't groove or get dished like a regular silicone carbide or Arkansas whetstone will.I Recommend this DMD Store Diamond Whetstone Knife Sharpener. It is large enough to give a great edge on my knives and tools.I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.

DMD diamond stone
Seems to be a good diamond sharpening stone. The funny thing is there was paper work with it that said not to use water or oil and right below that sentence it said to use water. Ha. I found that funny. Anyway I recommend using water when sharpening unless it’s an oil stone. Never sharpen dry. This stone has lines in the diamond surface to catch the swarf. It is a wide line on the fine diamond side which I don’t necessarily care for. I wish it was a continuous diamond surface. I do prefer the diamond stones for sharpening because they do last a lot longer and cut faster. There are two types for diamond stones. Poly and mono-crystalline. The mono-crystalline last the longest. I would assume that this diamond stone is the poly-crystalline because of the price. For the price this is a really good stone. There are 3 sides. This also comes with a base which set the stone up high so that your hands isn’t hitting the table when trying to get a smooth cut. The base also stays in place and doesn’t move when sharpening. What I do really love about this stone is the 100% warranty on this. On the site it states that if this diamond stone is to ever wear out and no longer does it’s job then you will get a replacement. It says this has a lifetime warranty so you can replacement anytime. Wow that’s a heck of a warranty for a diamond stone. It’s hard to believe. All in all this is a really good diamond sharpening stone that comes with a 100% lifetime warranty. For that I would highly recommend.I hope that you found this review helpful and if so it would be great if you could tap that helpful icon below. Thank you so much.

Great Versatility, Ease of Use, and Surprised by Its Size
I have always used inexpensive Harbor Freight chisel sets to do basic wood removing and shaping. I never worried about keeping the perfect edge on them since I could simply buy an entire whole new set of varying widths at the price that one chisel costs in the big box stores. Anyway, I recently got a chisel honing guide, when I saw this whetstone sharpener appear in my Amazon Vine Program of no charge items in exchange for an honest review (good or bad), I decided it might be time to go ahead an get the honing guide on Amazon. The pictures of this set are deceiving (not in a bad way). I just did not realize that this set would be as large as it turns out to be. Each sharpening surface is 2 1/2"w x 8" long, with three different grits (150, 325, and 1200), moving from coarse to very fine. The overall size of the entire rig is 5 1/4" w x 14" L, and standing 4" high. And it has non skid pads on the bottom, at both ends, which work extremely well (I tested the slip resistance on my polished granite kitchen countertop and this did not budge at all, when I tried to move it around with strong grip and pressure from my hand).Since this is new to me and I have only tested it on one chisel, I can't attest to its durability in its ability to remain abrasive enough over the long haul.

Nice diamond knife sharpener for the price ....
This is a well sized sharpener with good base.150 coarse and 325 medium grit sides are really useful in getting very dulland damaged edges to a further fine tunable sharp edges. For routine maintenance of already decently sharpened edgesthat just need touching up, 1200 extra fine edge side is all you need.Of course, you'll do even better if you strop it on a leather strop with a compound afterwards.Ignoring the confusing instruction sheet, I would always use water as a lubricant when sharpeningknives unless it specifically called for the use of sharpening oil.I am not a big fan of the striations on the surfaces but for the price, all in all, this is a great sharpener.

Sturdy, Large and Effective
This is a truly beefy kit, larger than you'd expect from seeing the product pictures. This is a good thing, as it provides a good sized surface area for sharpening. The roughest grit is good for putting an edge on something that doesn't have much of one, or for sharpening tools. The middle grit is probably the most useful. The finest one takes a long time to work on modern, ultra-hard steels. You will need a decent amount of room on a bench or table to place this, but it grips surfaces really well under use and doesn't move around. I am happier with this setup than the other Chinese-made kits that I have bought. Nicely done!
