Is it the same material as the scenes sold at party city?

I don't know. I have not been to Party City to see theirs. This one is pretty nice. Large and durable. Wipe clean material.

Do you need clamps for this or does it have a loop you can run the stand pole through?

The backdrop cloth is a flat sheet and does not have a loop. You could easily wrap around your frame, pole... whatever you are hanging from and tape to attach. Also, the item is just the backdrop. Does not come with stand, just to clarify.

I bought the 6’ by 9’...do I need to buy a photo background stand? if yes what size?

Honestly I bought it for this year so I haven’t used it yet
