This is my second purchase from KomalC. The first was a gift for my dad in the color distressed tan. We were all so satisfied and impressed by it that I finally purchased one for myself to have a father-son matching moment. This Dopp kit is utterly breathtaking and beautiful! Someone else said it has that old money look to it, and I strongly agree with that notion. The fact that it’s handmade blows me away because the attention to detail is astounding—a machine wouldn’t have been able to make it nearly as stunning. The stitch work, the distressed tanned leather, the brass ZIPPERS- sturdy, heavy duty, smooth as butter. The beautiful color of the Chicago buffalo in real life is perfect, just like the photos. The brass feet are also a practical AND aesthetic addition to the Dopp kit. The bag arrived thoughtfully placed inside of a vintage dust bag, along with thorough and specific care instructions for the leather to get the utmost use out of it. This craftsman cares and it shows— and it’s eco friendly too: buy it nice once and have it for a lifetime. My only critique would be the actual shipping packaging, I wish it came inside of a standard amazon box instead of a plastic shipping bag. The delivery person through it down some stairs and I was upset at how they treated my new bag. If it was in a box, I wouldn’t have been as worried. None the less, the bag is tough and it did not arrive with any imperfections whatsoever. I’ve attached photos for those, who like me, are looking for more customer pics of the Chicago buffalo color. Get it, it’s worth every penny especially given the fantastic price. It’s quite honestly such a steal, I’m still shook tbh.

The bag is well made with solid stitching and quality liner. The zippers, while not YKK, seem to be more than adequate for the job, the magnetic flap closes firmly, and the supple leather has a beautiful distressed look.Speaking of leather… when the bag first arrived, it was creased and crushed, courtesy of the warehouse. The leather itself was very dry and needed to be oiled, at least in my opinion. This presented an opportunity to address both issues with one solution. I stuffed the bag with a bath towel to make it fully expand into its original shape and wiped it heavily with some Otter Wax oil I use on my aniline leather furniture. What a difference. If you’re familiar with leather care, you know that oil will initially darken the leather, but it will return to the original color in a few hours, once the oil is fully absorbed. Well, this wasn’t quite the case here, and I’m extremely happy with the outcome. Initially, the color was that of mustard. I liked it, sure, but it seemed a bit bright. Once I applied the oil, it turned dark brown, but within a couple of hours it returned to a halfway point between brown and mustard, like peanut butter, and remains this way now. The oil also allowed the leather to return to the intended shape and keep it.This is a great way to obtain a classy, durable, handmade piece of kit for an excellent price. If you need a Dopp kit and don’t care for individual organization (which I do not, as it inevitably eats up valuable space,) don’t think twice about it and just do it. :)

I travel for a living, and my toiletry kit is always packed and ready to go. I don't beat my traveling kit up, but I don't baby it either. My old Dopp kit which served me for the last 10 years was made of bonded leather and not top grain or a full grain leather. Recently the leather has started to break down leaving little black flecks of the top layer all over my clothes in the suitcase. I saw the toiletry bag from Komal's Passion Leather and immediately liked both it's simplicity and that it is a full grain buffalo leather.When the product arrived I loaded it up with my kit immediately with comfortable room left over, but this is not an oversize or bulky kit bag. Its design is clean and classic. The craftsmanship is superb, stitching perfect and the natural tanning process leaves a distressed look to the leather that looks better than even the picture portrayed. This is a product that will last for many, many years to come even with my frequent travel schedule, and as it is a full grain leather will only get softer and better looking with usage and will not deteriorate like cheaper bonded leathers. I absolutely recommend this high quality toiletry bag for anyone who travels frequently or not so frequently because the price is extremely reasonable. Don't settle for a cheap alternative. I have learned over the course of nearly 4 decades of business travel that working with high quality kit makes the rigor of modern travel much more pleasant. You will not be disappointed!

Full grain, sturdy leather with a solid zipper and handle to carry it. I use this as an accessory bag for my live solo acoustic shows and it has taken a beating l. It still looks like it did when I first bought it. No loss of function, busted seams, wonky zipper… nothing. If you’re thinking of buying it, just buy it. You won’t regret it. If you’re wanting it for a shaving bag that will spend most of its life on a shelf, it will likely outlast you.

Nice, well-made toiletries bag but it had a weird mildew smell when it came out of the box. It's been a day and it still stinks. Hopefully it will air out after a few days.
