Just installed it, sounds very good so far, clarity is what I need and this has it, quality of this is very good, it was so easy to install, and it works functions well

They are not as tinny sounding as the last pair (different brand). I would give 5 stars, but the issue is the wires coming out of the tweeter are different colors than the ones coming out of the in line capacitor/crossover filtering (solid red and solid black from the tweeter and solid red, red w/black stripe going into and out of the filter). The wires going into the filter aren’t labeled with +/- either and you can’t visually see what is being filtered because of heat shrink. Also the wires coming out of the tweeter aren’t marked +/-, so it’s a guessing game. I wired them up by ear and they sound pretty good (but can’t be sure of the phasing without more testing). I had this issue with an old pair of tweeters and had to do the same thing and honestly it was a pain but I got it to work in the end. I’m going to call Skar tomorrow to get a definitive answer and will update accordingly. I mean for the price, they are pretty solid and are taking the power but I need to ensure the phasing for longer term sound quality/reliability.

I love the way silk dome tweeters sounds and these are no exception. They sound excellent until you start pushing them near the upper range of the 80 watts rms they are rated at. Around 60 watts rms they start to distort a little but not enough to be intolerable. At 70 watts rms it's clear that they are being pushed a little to hard and at 75 they sound like they are going to explode. To get the volume levels where I like them I have to turn down the gain on my cross over so they match the bass and still sound clean.I have them hooked up to a 75 watt x 4 stinger amp with cross over built in and match them with a 12 inch loaded sub and 6x9 mid subs. These speakers should be rated more at 60-65 watts rms. My old carbon fiber tweeters did not distort at the higher range of their rating. It's a common issue silk tweeters don't handle the power too well but I think they sound great anyway. I just don't like when companies say their power ratings higher than what the speaker can really handle.

Built in crossover is great for running on non amplified door speakers. I installed them on my 2001 Dodge Dakota. I have 4 decent door speakers and a 10 in sub with a moderate mono amp in the back. The lower speakers had trouble filling the truck with audio at highway speeds. I bought these to bring treble up higher to counteract it. It made a huge difference and I'm going to buy two more for the rear to send it over the top. I used a 1.5in hole saw attachment and trimmed it with a dremmel. The brackets are just a hair too thick to allow the screws to go from the bracket to the back of the speaker, so I didn't use the metal brackets and jb welded the sleeve into place... it's not going anywhere. Dodge made things really easy and the factory tweeter location for upper models was embossed on the back of the door panel making it easy to know exactly where the hole should go, they also provided me with a harness to nowhere that I was able to use to wire them up. Overall I'm very impressed with the product. It does was I need it to do and at a value that's incredible. I will be buying another set for the rear.

I ordered these as a replacement for my 06 Colorado. The factory tweeters had both blown out and were never very good to begin with, so I decided to find a new set. The speakers themselves are quite sleek, and fit into the door quite well with a little trimming from a Dremel. They wired in without any extensions but extra wire is included if you don't want to do any splicing. The sound quality is quite impressive, especially considering the size. All in all, absolutely amazing for the price. I'll be purchasing a full set of Skar speakers for my truck. Also bonus points for the window sticker. I love stickers.
