Ravensburger Othello® Classic Family and 2-Player Game for Ages 8 and Up

I absolutely love this game!Last year I was delighted to find them on sale. So, everyone I love, got one as a family gift.It’s a two person game, but can be played by people of all ages. Easy to learn, and so fun to play.It’s more fun than checkers.Well made, good quality product.The older style game board (50 years go) had retractable covers for each of the disc trays. I wish the newer ones had them too.

This is a fun game to play! Learned to play it when I was younger, now teaching my children how.

We have one game at our home, another at my parents home and another at our camper. We play nightly. So much fun to play Othello. The size and quality and the value for the money is amazing. So easy to play.

This game is a classic, and one I learned to play when I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. It's a game that is great for both adults and children, so you won't be completely bored out of your mind when playing with a younger child, and it also can be enjoyable for adults competing against each other. Another great thing about this game is that it involves lots of strategy, and doesn't rely just on luck like some other games.

Incredibly simple yet complex game. Nice change up from checkers or chess

It's a great, easy but fun game, but -I had this game as a child in Soviet Union, where quality toys, especially made of plastic, were very lacking. Yet, mine had these rotating covers to securely keep game pieces in their two gutters as storage compartments when the game is stored away. This one doesn't have it, which means you have to set the pieces for each player every time you take it out of the box, where they either fly all over, or you have to store them in a ziplock. For shame.

The box says easy to learn; a lifetime to master. So there's a challenge for you. I played this in my 20's and have returned 50 years later. It's still a great game for young and old. The box is sturdy, the pieces will last forever and same with the board. The instructions are interesting starting with the basic's. After that there is a section on strategy. We are purposely staying away from that to see how we adapt with the basics. We'll get to trickery later.

A fantastic strategy game that I've played as a kidthousands of times over. Istill enjoy it to this day as a man it's really taught me a lot
