These really protect dog elbows!
I bought 2 to switch them out to wash every week. My dog has degenerative joint issues where she has swelling that occur in her joints and they slip when she moves. After many doctor’s visits, surgery was not an option and with her age, any drastic treatment was not advisable. she has difficulties getting up and down. These elbow pads have been working great as she scoots a lot and use her elbows to prop up most of the time. The pads are made of breathable material so her swelling doesn’t fester. The other arm braces I’ve tried, are made of neoprene material, they help with mobility but it irritates the constant sores on her elbows as it doesn’t allow it to breathe. This one is small bit larger in length than the others i found on Amazon. it does require some adjusting but so far this one has worked the best. i use another thinner elbow pad together with this one which catches any bleeding from her scabs. She doesn’t seem to mind having it on at all so that’s a plus.

It’s okay
Worked great for a week or so. The stitching has come apart on one of the sleeves and I’m taking it to a seamstress to have it down back together. I think the stitching should be reinforced to strengthen the durability. I’m using it on my 13 year old lay around husky that doesn’t do much anymore.

Excellent solution for elbow calluses!
My Siberian Husky developed a callous on one of her elbows and was licking it to the point it started bleeding so I needed some sort of solution to help her heal. I tried wraps but they wouldn't stay on so I tried this product and it has worked extremely well. She doesn't like wearing the pads but she's accepting. They work extremely at padding her elbows when she lays on the tile. My only criticism is that there is absolutely no give to the strap over her shoulders so I have to be careful to adjust it just right. Too tight and she can't walk, too loose and the pads drop below her elbow. I also learned that the clip has a lock position which is a good thing but if you aren't aware can cause a few seconds of frustration when trying to disconnect the strap. The good news is it's taking time but her callous is healing and she's even beginning to grow new hair on her elbow!

NEVER (!) stay in place, poor quality of straps, wrong engineering
The covers NEVER stay in place when the dog is lying down. They slip off the elbow. Tightening the straps doesn't help. The rubber straps are poor quality: they began to unravel after a week. A week later they deformed. I am returning the item.

Fixed the problem!!!
These were the answer to our adult german shepherd's sore elbows, who just loves to lay on hard floors. We put them on incorrectly at first, where the strap went across his chest and back, and when he walked and put his head down, they fell down his legs. But when we put them on with the band BEHIND his legs and up his back, then tightened the strap which is great they are adjustable, they stay up and in place even when he puts his head down and gets up and lays down repeatedly throughout the day. We have now bought 2 pair, to have a pair when washing them. They hold up very well to hand washing and air drying. We saw some bad reviews before we bought these, but they mentioned them not staying up, and a waste of money. We totally disagree, as they can't be putting them on correctly, because if they do, they won't slide down, but will stay in place and protect the elbows very well, from the hard surfaces dogs love to lay on. A great item for your dog, we highly recommend this product!

Elbow protector
The concept is good. That the product is made with for material. The strap across the back needs to be made with better material, not stretchy material. It will not stay tight. Therefore, it does not stay up on the above says it should.

Great Elbow Protectors
Zeppelin has had surgery on both elbows, needed to find something that helps protect them. This item is soft, easy to use, fits right up over the top of the elbow, good value, durability, looks to he washable. Straps are stretchy to fit various sizes. Has a chest strap and strap over the back. No velcro which is great. Hoping this will eliminate further elbow surgeries.

Definitely allowed my dog's elbows to heal
For the last few months of his life, he passed on 12/21/22, my dog Beau had trouble standing up, which led to his elbows scraping the ground and becoming raw to the point of bleeding. I found these elbow guards and gave them a shot. They most definitely did the trick. Within a couple of weeks, Beau's elbows were all healed up, which was good because by then he had figured out how to slip out of the harness and would do so whenever I wasn't around. Beau never showed any discomfort while wearing them. He just didn't like wearing any kind of harness or collar. The only criticism I have would be that sometimes the guards would slide down, depending on how Beau laid on the ground and they would have to be readjusted a bit once he stood up. Other than that, they were great. The guards did exactly what I hoped they would do, and I would recommend them to anyone who has a dog with raw elbows.
