These are defnitely nice and make keeping your grill clean much easier. No need to bring the cleaning supplies out to your grill when you can just pick these up and take them into the house and wash them off. The also protect the finish on your grill. The only drawback is that they need a larger size than this. These are on the small side for many grills. I hope they consider making a larger size.

Bought this for outside use with grills. Great size for several tools, easy to wash and just an overall good idea. Keeps cooking tools off the outdoor surfaces which keeps them cleaner and also keeps the surfaces from getting greasy and/or stained. Win/win.

This item was recommended by Consumer Reports. I wish I had had one sooner, to be honest.I grill once or twice a week and have a permanent, outdoor grilling station with stone work surfaces. The grill is stainless steel with stainless steel side trays on each side.The trays would get very messy with oil, BBQ sauce and other messy items as I grilled. I would use paper towels to try to keep the mess down but they would either blow away or get too messy very quickly.Now I put this mat down and I can rest tongs, brushes and other tools on it without worrying about the mess. It seems to be fairly resistant to heat and still looks new, after a solid month of use.Clean up is easy - you can either wash by hand or just toss in the dishwasher, which it is rated for. It can hold water though if you lay it flat in the dishwasher so works better if you can lay it so the water can drain off.Still, this is way better than my previous ways of keeping the mess down and I may buy one more for the other side of my grill.

Great grill utensil pad. Heavy weight, so it stays in place. It is sturdy and good quality rubber. I did expect it to be a bit bigger than what it was, the measurements on the site were accurate the picture just looks bigger. Its still a good size will easily protect your grill table top. Can't be disappointed in the purchase....

Works great on the side shelf of my grill. It cleans up easily when finished.

I live in the desert so every time I uncover my grill the side shelves are coated in dust/dirt. This thing is the perfect solution and I now I have something I can lay utensils on without worrying about the dirt. YES, I can clean the shelves every single time, but this mat makes it so much easier, it can take the intense heat, and cleans up very well. All its grooves (on both sides) make cleaning a little harder, but the reward outweighs the hassle, at least so far. Good purchase for me.

For a smaller grill (2-burner Weber Spirit II e-210 in my case), this mat is well-sized. My side shelves are about 11.5"x16", so this mat at just under 11"x14" is a better fit for me than it is for those with larger-sized shelves.As other reviewers have noted, this mat is great for protecting the stainless steel shelves and is quite easy to clean. I liked it so much, I bought one for the other shelf the same day I received the first one.The one downside is that it feels sort of pricey for the size and what it is, but comparing it to similar items, I guess it does appear to be in the (higher-than-I-anticipated) ballpark.

Bought one, and after it arrived ordered a second for the other side. These are helpful - the ribbed design catches anything spilled, while cushioning the impact of plates/platters/tools placed on the shelves. Easy to clean in sink too.
