Caddie Buddy Professional and Portable Teleprompter Without Aluminum Case

This thing is exactly as advertised but BETTER!!!Easy to set up and really easy to use. You can tell the guy that makes this really takes pride in what he does! Very sturdy and strong frame and the glass is large and works great! It's cool how it mirrors the phone screen but still allows the camera to film as though there's nothing in front of it! No distortions or anything... And I'm using a high-end 4K camera, if there was even the slightest distortion it would pick it up, but there's none!I got it two days ago and I've been using it constantly since. The app I'm using is "Teleprompter" on the Apple App Store. It's a great app... $13.99 for the version that mirrors the text (you need that one), I write the scrip and save it as a .doc file and upload to DropBox, the app seamlessly takes the script from DropBox and imports with ease. The functions are so easy it unbelievable! Get that one - it works perfectly with this teleprompter. Super crisp and clear - really easy to see even at around 8 feet away!The teleprompter came with a special phone mount but I don't need it because the tray fits my iPhone 6+ (with case) perfectly!My vids are sooooo much better now that I can easily work off a pre-planned script! This thing enables me to look directly into the camera when I'm reading my script and you absolute cannot tell that I'm working with a script at all! It's amazing! I should have bought this year's ago! I would have paid double for this thing! I can't believe how much more professional I look using it.Highly recommended!!!

I'm an executive coach who does a lot of high-end video creation. I was looking for an affordable, well-made teleprompter to aid my video production process and the Caddy Buddy fit my needs perfectly! It is extremely high quality, built in the USA, and most importantly works exactly as intended. The set up is extremely easy. I can easily see my mirrored text from either a smart phone or tablet. The glass is 100% transparent to the camera, so my videos came out with amazing professional quality. If you are looking for a quality prompter--look no further! Also, their customer service is great and they were happy to customize a pert to fit my needs!

It can be a little awkward to set up just right for the camera and subject but the overall quality, adjustability, and great price means I'm happy with the purchase.

I would give this product one million stars. I have searched teleprompter for our host recording for a long time. Any professional ones cost over $500, and look bulky. I tried $40 one, and of course, disappointment. We continue to use a laptop under the camera as teleprompter. By chance I bumped into this one. Affordable price, and works very well. The rods are pretty strong, made of metal, not plastic. I can put my Sony NXU5 camera on it without problem. I don't even need to take out the lens hood, though I do need to take out the protruding shot gun mic. The glass is large. I used my old iPad, but a larger pad will work too. Everything is intuitive and easy to adjust. It's the best choice for any small budget studio. Thanks a lot for making such great product. Well done!

For the price point, it works very well, it's sturdy, and easy to set up quickly. Keep the box, you will need a way to move it and store it until you come up with a better solution. It would be easy to break the glass without proper storage. I use it with both a DSLR and a Panasonic 255 professional HD camcorder. The glass will block your external mic, but you should be using a lav mic anyway for this type of a situation. I highly recommend as a cost effective solution for a teleprompter.It also works best with a full size iPad or tablet, using a smart phone will not be effective.

I rarely leave reviews but once in a while a product blows you away! This product is absolutely fantastic!! The unit is completely self contained so the set up was non-existent! Arrived within a few days. Mounted and recording with it in minutes of receiving the package. This product is so well made and addresses several challenges...you can balance it perfectly on your mount not to mention the ability to adjust the height AND the distance of the rear camera mount! For the price I cannot recommend this product enough. Worth every cent!!!

I bet if I had ever tried any other method I would LOVE it. But it's my first attempt at teleprompter and video stuff. This makes it easy enough for a novice like me to get the job done. Since I am a novice I struggle with all aspects of making videos. I bet it's me and not the device. I have made over 20 videos with this and my iPad with the Prompt Smart App. I can say it gets the job done every time. I'd be happy to share the vids if you want to take a look at the results for yourself.It is heavy, and quite front heavy once you add an iPad. I think I would like it better if I got a sturdier tri-pod. I just got the one Amazon recommended in the "others also purchased" window, a low end one. Since this is heavy if I had it to do over I would buy a sturdier tripod. And I will still probably have to buy a sturdier tripod as it's so front heavy I have to prop it up to keep the whole thing level.

I just got this and I love it. It works just great and is constructed well. I’m looking forward to shooting training videos and other projects using the prompter. I just purchased a HEFTY Hi-Rise 40 quart storage bin with locking lid to store the unit. Went right from the cardboard box and fit perfectly in the bin. If I travel with it, I’ll add a towel inside on top just to make the unit more secure. This item is great!
