Great rack for the price.
Good solid rack. Easy assembly. The door is built so you can change which way it opens but it is really hard to switch and the nameplate would be upside down. Also the adhesive wiring attachments had separated but was easily reattached. All in all a great rack for the price.

Excellent with one flaw
It's a great enclosure. It's locks, though I am sure the lock is easy to pick, so imwouldnt consider it secure per say. Mounted on the wall and it's not going anywhere, very sturdy. Was simple to put together and fits all my equipment. That said, the included fan is too deep and becomes useless if something with a longer depth is mounted in the top. It might even block longer items because it technically creeps into that top U spot.

Excellent buy for the money, but with a few compromises..
Excellent buy for the money, but with a few compromises.First however, mostly very easy to put together, and very good and solid feel to the construction. It also looks very nice, and is very quiet! On the compromises though; I do understand if you are buying this, you likely are reasonably capable of building something from instructions (as most technical people are). There are no tools included except for one hex wrench, which is fine but understand you will need (tools and materials): 1) a socket set for the lag bolts 2) wood to place on the wall to attach to studs in the right places (and then the cabinet to the wood with lag bolts) 3) long construction screws to attach the wood to the studs 4) a large and sturdy, thick faced phillips screw driver to be able to install any equipment 5) to bring your own patch panel (I made my own) 6) velcro/zip ties to keep it all clean and pretty and cooling well 7) a small-enough UPS battery to both power the equipment inside and still fit (if not placing it outside of the unit) 8) a rack-mount power strip for all of the equipment inside and 9) any plastic baffles needed to eliminate open unused U spaces (forces cooling to go one direction in the unit to assist cooling). Also, have some posterboard, etc (even tape together several pieces of printer paper if needed) to make your own wall template to make mounting easier since no template came with mine.Secondly, and to me the most annoying compromise: there is only one cooling fan and the other fan mount is covered with a blank. The picture does show this, but you have to look closely (the dark image hid it on the monitor I was using) and I didn't catch it. There is also a sentence in the ABOUT where they mention it, which I failed to catch. You always want two fans as the minimum for redundancy. This is because if one fails, the other can continue to operate (couple this with a temperature sensor of some sort and when one fails it will alert you). I just finished my install, so this is something I have yet to resolve. I can immagine this will be quite difficult if not impossible to find an exact match so I will have to get creative. If I can find it I will come back and add it to my review.Thirdly, if you put anything really heavy on the floor of the unit like I did (NAS and UPS), it will sag the unit downward which makes the side pannels difficult to take off/put back on. I right now have to lift the front up slightly with one hand to do so. I will be changing to adding a rear-mount shelf on the back rail on the lowest U, putting all of the additional weight on the wall lags instead. But, its ok for now.All in all, I easily could have spend $400-$500 and not had most of these compromises, but I have access to a lot of the equipment already from an earlier and more basic build so I chose to save money.. and overall I am quite happy about that.

Shipped with defective fan
Pros- Price- Value- Numbered vertical rails- Screws/hardware packaged in labeled bags to simplify assembly- Detailed instructions includedCons- Shipped with defective fan- Fully unassembled- Low quality screws- No PDF manual on website- Would have been nice to have a template for wall mounting- Some parts had dust from machiningGood quality when considering the price. Steel is thick and powder coating is even on all parts. Cabinet ships completely unassembled so budget an extra hour to your installation. Assembly was fairly easy with the included instructions but I installed the front of the cabinet backwards so be sure not to mix that up. Mine came with a defective fan so test that before you start assembly. I contacted the company to get a replacement and will update this review if they respondUpdate: The company responded quickly to my email about the defective fan. They couldn't ship a separate fan but did offer a partial refund

Quality control issues?
I ordered a new unit. It was either treated incredibly poorly at the factory or they sent me a used product. All the metal was bent. And I had to bend it back into place. I needed the rack today and recieved it yesterday so sending it back wasn't an option. Assembly was simple enough except for all the bent metal. The areas that were bent didn't fit right together and I had to really force the rack together and use a hammer to help get some of the rack together.

Well built and sleek rack
This rack is of great build quality, it feels sturdy, looks great, and houses all of my equipment as expected. I found it to have slightly more depth and room than other racks I considered. I am so glad I chose this one and the pricepoint is fair. One thing I absolutely have to commend is the ease of assembly and how clearly laid out the instructions were, no problems building and it took about 20 mins. I am a new fan of RackPath!
