What does the power do?

I agree that the vibrations reduce the pull of the razor on your skin. You can probably feel increased pull if you turning off the power. In addition, the vibration helps the blades cut more smoothly by turning the pull of the razor into a series of many sideways slices. Someone compared it to a chef's knife -- if you try to push down on the knife it doesn't cut as well as if you use a series of back-and-forth slicing cuts. The vibration also keeps the razor blades from getting hung up on any skin irregularities. For vibration to work best, you have to maintain a medium pressure against your skin. Too hard or soft and the vibrations cannot do their job. Also, too much shaving foam, gel, or oil makes it harder for the vibration to work -- I just use soapy water. Finally, the battery must be good. If your razor doesn't buzz or the vibration seems to die out, replace that AAA with a new alkaline one. I hope this review was helpful.

How do i chsnge battery? I can't open the end compartment to open the battery housing

Simply turn the bottom of your razor handle counter clockwise to open the battery compartment. Discard the old battery and insert a fresh AAA + side first. Well Worth the Purchase

Purchased the shaver and extra blades. A excellent product and I enjoy the vibration. One of the models ten years ago had this feature of vibration and missed ever since. Glad Gillette brought this back and increased the strength of the vibration. Feels like you are almost painting your face during shaving.

Good 👍 razor good price

I am over 90 years old and used many different razors over the years. I read reviews on the power razor and since there is a return policy I thought I would try the power razor. Well after one shave there is no return I just ordered more blades as this razor to me is the best of all I have used over the past years.

Close as a razor can get

Normally, I use the fusion5. For years it has been my favorite razor. I have tried other name brands, but found the only one that doesn’t tear my face apart is Gillette. Recently, I tried to save money and bought an off-brand version of fusion5, but once again I found that there is no replacing the original. So I returned them and decided to try the pro-glide. I didn’t think a better razor than the fusion5 could be possible, but I was wrong. The pro-glide was even smoother shaving. I even feel like it was a closer shave, if it is even possible. Long story short, I am extremely impressed and Gillette comes through again. I am convinced that I have found my new favorite razor.
