Bought this to make a mirror glaze mousse cake. It worked perfectly and I had no issues with it. The price was nice too. Because of the nature of the mold it'll make a seam around your mousse cake where the parts joined, just shave it off with a sharp knife while the cake is still frozen.

LOVED this!! it worked great and was slightly smaller than I thought it would be, but overall it worked really well. I made a raspberry and pistachio entremet and it was fantastic! It held everything together and froze so nicely. Taking the entremet out of the mold was super easy.

I really debated what brand of me to buy for a Mirror cake. Bought two of these based on customer reviews. I was not disappointed. They worked exceptionally well. It was my first go at making this type of cake and I made two at the same time without problem. They are small but cakes with mousse and Mirror topping are rich so one goes a long way. I was careful to watch seam so I didn't have problems later on but found I could easily smooth what little line there was with my fingertip. I did compare this one to other eclipse molds listed on Amazon and it was the same size, same material, but lots cheaper.

Updated: seller reached out and offered a refund and I accepted.I used this mold in my Plated Desserts class. I made ice cream, ran it thru the Paco Jet then filled the apple mold. I placed an apple pie filling cylindrical center in the ice cream to set and placed in the freezer. When time came to get them out of the mold, it was darn near impossible. They came out misshapen from the force I had to use in manipulating them out. No bueno. I don’t recommend.

Wish this mold came with directions for usage. I am new to using molds and have had to rely on tutorials to school my way through using it. Mold is as described and makes perfect apples!

I ordered 8 of these molds - half of them are so flimsy and thin that they are unusable. Spend $5 more for the thicker molds that actually maintain their shape when filled.

I doooooooo love it, i can’t wait to make my birthday mouse I like the fact that is not to big it will be a cake for two and I don’t like wasting, I love the material and it’s going to make my process easier

Worked ok but it’s very hard to unmold since the opening is so much smaller than the widest part
