I was admittedly pretty skeptical of this product since they haven’t yet released the key ingredient or how it works (I think the patent is pending?), but it has truly been a game-changer for my hair. I was hoping for immediate results, so the first few times I used it I was unimpressed, but I’ve been consistent with it for over a month now and the results are incredible, and I am continuing to see improvements now (to the point where I am excited to use it each week). My hair is SO much more manageable, stronger, so smooth and my split ends are pretty much gone! My layers no longer look frazzled despite nothing else changing in my routine.Also, it’s expensive but even with my thicker hair I'm finding that it lasts for quite awhile (I use about 4 pumps once a week). Finally, what I may love most about this product is the ease of use. This is just easy to incorporate into my routine, and after I wait the 10 mins. (this part is key), I can apply my favorite leave-in product and style as usual. I love that this offers heat protection as a bonus. I have been battling high porosity hair for most of my adult life, and I do everything suggested to manage it. Still, at the end of Day 2 after shampooing, my hair loses moisture. Amla oil and silicone products help me, but they only can do so much. My hair usually breaks off below my shoulder blades. So I started researching my hair type and what it needed.I tried k-18 bond repair after reading about it, but I didn't see much of a difference. Because I use Living Proof's leave-ins, I decided to try this bond repair, and it has helped a great deal.The instructions say this product can create covalent bonds, but heat is required. So I took a risk and used an air brush. And it worked!After conditioning, I apply the Living Proof bond repair in a few passes and spreading out with a good bamboo comb. My hair is almost waist length; it takes five to six pumps applied in layers (concentrating on ends) to coat it. Then I put a plastic bag on my hair while getting dressed. Then I apply leave-in conditioners, a good heat protectant spray, and use low heat to dry my hair in sections. When it is 80 to 90 percent dry, I apply a palmful of jojoba oil and wrap it for a few hours in a protective bun or braid.The result is that my hair has not been this shiny since I was a kid, and it retains moisture much longer than before. I did not expect such good results!I do recommend this product. It lasts me a few months at washing every five to six days, and my hair is long (albeit fine). The results are worth the price.
