I usually don't write reviews but if your viewing this item and not sure about it......buy it!More often than not, I have a perm and my hair is past my shoulders. So I have tried about every product available. This is not a heavy butter, it does not weigh down your hair or give you that gooey greasy feeling that a lot of curly hair products are notorious for. The back of neck and above my ears are sensitive, if something has too much crap in it, it will irritate my skin instantly and I will break out. This does not do that. My hair felt natural like nothing was it. Just soft curls.It really does not have much of a smell, some notes of cocoa butter but that's about it. It looks very dark brown in the container but the container is also brown. Once its in your hand, its a light shimmer tan and when spread, its nothing to mention. Similar to when applying foundation. No, it does not leave any hint of color to your hands either. Does not stain or discolor. Its pretty cool.After applying, your hands and hair has a very velvet soft feeling. I didn't even need to wash my hands, it absorbed right in like lotion does.Yes, this product does its job!! My hair had very soft bouncy curls and were so shiny!!!! The only thing that would have made them bounce more is if I had a diffuser. My hair was so curly it looked like I just left the salon. The first time I tried this, I didn't put anything else in my hair because I didn't need to. The second time, I oiled my hair using Biolage Essential oil since its winter and I tend to get frizzy hair. It still did its job but not as well. So if you use any other products, I suggest applying it after you put this in, it seems to really love direct contact with hair :)Before making my decision to buy this, I looked at some review videos. Biolage R.A.W is all natural ingredients and passes independent test, ingredients really are natural. No secret surprises.I have always been a Biolage girl and this one is my new favorites. It will stay in my daily arsenal of hair products. I will try to upload photos tonight. I would like to see Biolage keep the R.A.W product line.

Fragrance free styling products are hard to find, so I can't get too picky. About this product I will say it's thicker than would be my preference. While it is brown, that color goes away when applied (my hair is brown). It weighs down my hair, but I have a mop of curls so that's not necessarily a bad thing. It doesn't dry stiff, which I like. I wouldn't recommend it for thin, fine, or light colored hair, but for the rest of us, it's a good option if you're looking for fragrance free.

I have beautiful curly hair- when I have the right product. When I have the wrong product- I have a frizzy, unmanageable, embarrassing mess. For a long time, I was using a Biolage cream-gel and it was only thing that made my curls look good. (Like many, I've tried about a gazillion products looking desperately for curl magic). It took a ton of that product to get a good look, though, so it cost me a fortune, but it was what it was. Then, the product I couldn't live without was discontinued, which made me almost panic. I was back to trying new products and feeling like maybe I should or could spend less, so I tried a few inexpensive ones. My hair looked OK for about a hot second and then dried out to a straw-like consistency, somehow felt like plastic as well as like it had nothing on it at all, and had worse, more unruly frizz than without product. Long story short, after that fail I did some more research and ended up giving this product a shot. I used a very small amount on very damp hair, concentrating on my ends and secondly on my roots. Boom! Instant curl magic! Specifically, what this doesn't do is dry out my hair or leave it crunchy or frizzy. Also, it has very little scent and although others have mentioned the color, I sincerely don't think it would affect anyone's hair color unless maybe it was white blonde or a bright color like purple, maybe. What it does do is give me defined curls, tons of body. My hair feels totally soft and you can't feel any product in it if you touch it. I can hardly believe these results. It did my hair better than my old go-to. My hair now looks like I always hope it will- beautiful, shiny, bouncy, weightless, totally defined, and soft curls that look effortless! LOVE.

Didn’t work for me. I must not have the right curls for this product. I also have blonde hair and since this product is brown it changed the color of my hair slightly.

Product is to thick and feels sticky when my hair driesI have only been using a pea size amount in my medium thick curly hair.Pro it does make my hair curlier

I got wide-eyed when my stylist opened a jar of this brown styling butter to put on my hair. First, it's brown, and my hair is blond and silver. Second, it looked like it would weigh down my curls. However, wow, I have fallen in love with this stuff. Dallas weather is becoming more tropical, so I have given up on straight, sleek hair. Now I let it wiggle all it wants and try to control the frizz. I'm so glad my stylist encouraged me to try this product.This styling butter, although light coffee color, DOES NOT CHANGE HAIR COLOR. While in the shower with conditioner on my hair, I comb all the tangles out. I do not comb my hair again until the next wash. I rub a glob of the butter between my hands and apply evenly to my wet hair. Then I leave it alone. The result is a mass of baby-soft curls with zero frizz. The scent is very light and pleasant. The product is not at all sticky--it feels nice--and I don't even need to wash it off my hands.

Like any curly haired person, I’ve tried a ton of products through the years, always on the hunt for “the one.” This product is pretty close to being that product! My advice: don’t use too much. A little goes a long way. This small jar lasts a long time because you really don’t need a ton. It doesn’t great job defining my curls and keeping down on frizz. No strong smell, which I like. It looks like creamy peanut butter, which has freaked my husband and kids out when they’ve seen me applying it! Haha
