Can you adjust the spray? Just get a jet of oil not a spray

I have found that if you press the trigger halfway then oil comes out in a jet. If you fully depress the trigger it comes out in more of a spray but not the fine spray I was hoping for. It’s more of a half jet /half spray which just saturates the food with oil. 0verall disappointing
