I thought it is worth writing a review for this steam cleaner! In my review you will also find out about the tips to optimise the performance of this steamer!I initially bought it for cleaning the Venetian blinds, had a quotation of almost £900 to do just my bay window and kitchen door and window blinds! I thought surely isn't that difficult to clean these blinds, so looked online and seen that this machine can have a handheld as well as floor steam mop.... so got one, and MY GOD, this machine works, see pictures for proof. The 1st pic on the left is before then after and then before with the flash and after with the flash!The blinds and the windows including the double glazing frame and seal all been steamed, total of 4 hours cleaning and the job of £900 completed 🤭🤭.Pros: cleans effectively and neatly. 5 *Cons: heavy to hold the handheld (haven't used the mop yet)Tips: * you will need a pack of microfibre rags (5)* Sainsburys Window Cleaner to spray the blinds and then steam.and then wipe with the microfibre cloth.* I have used filtered water from my water filter jug, this is to prolong the life of the filter in the machine.All in all, a good machine to have, worth £60 !! Get one and the cleaning will be easy.

I bought this model after having tried the model which does not detach from the body.This model is very easy to use. If you use the detergent setting on full when mopping it does leave the floor very wet. This can be fixed by turning down the detergent or not using it at all. The carpet glider works and refreshes the rug but does not remove marks.It takes less time for me to mop the whole floor than it did for me to fill the two buckets I used to mop with. And the results are good. Used every day, the floor gets cleaner the more you use it. Certainly as good as mopping. Not quite as good as getting on your hands and knees and scrubbing!The hand held unit is very easy and effective. It cleaned my oven door with no cleaning fluid. It cleaned the tops of my kitchen cabinets with ease. I had a window in my house that seemed forever dirty and always smeared. It is now gleaming (I recommend polishing with an ecloth after steaming). It really is an excellent thing to have.I have given this a four star review because I think the omission of the hose attachment is a significant one. I had a spare so it wasn't a problem for me but I really do recommend that to use the handheld unit properly you need the hose (which can be purchased for £10 from a well known auction retailer).All in all, you really can't go wrong. I bought this after trying my Mums. Two of my sisters now have them too. Happy steaming!

Great steam mop

Love It. Don't know how on earth we managed without it. We recently moved into a flat that had been occupied by an elderly woman with mobility issues before us. So many thing were left unkept for a VERY long time. One was the entrance floor to the flat. It had been stained fairly badly. We tried Mopping and scrubbing but nothing really did anything other then push the dirt about. I decided that I was going to finally break down and get a Steam Mop. I had been looking at several different ones for a couple of years now. And this was the last push to make me choose. I decided to get this model because Vax had been rated on the Gadget Show as a higher quality value for your money and with the price it was being sold at I knew I needed to act. We got it with in a couple of days of ordering it which was great. And I managed to get the husband to work on cleaning the hall. I have photos that I will share of before and after. It did take a couple of cleanings as the floor was so bad. We first went over it with the mop bit and it removed a large amount of the stain but the husband wasn't satisfied so he broke it down to the handheld and with attachments steam scrubbed the floor. I can't believe the amount of difference there is. I am beside myself. This thing really does work. It does what it says it does. And takes only moments for the water to be ready to steam. It is lightweight for what it is. And not to have a MOP and Bucket. to not have to bend over and wring out a mop every few moments and have to keep adding hot clean water to the mop bucket to keep it hot enough to get down the hallway is just brilliant. This mop takes so much effort out of a mundane chore. I felt like I was cheating somehow on cleaning. I also like that there is no soapy residue left behind. and the floors dry almost instantly after. I can't praise this little machine enough. I strongly recommend it.
