Does this hold 1L bottles in it?

Is there any reviews on these. Roughly how many bottles does it hold. Also is it varnished as couple photos look different

Internally, it will hold about 30 bottles. The wood is not varnished - it has a 'raw' finish. I don't think these started off as real barrels, which are available if you want a more authentic item, they have been manufactured. I spent some time creating 2 'lazy Susan' turntables so that bottles at the back can be rotated to the front on both levels. The project was quite time-consuming, but fun, and I'm not particularly 'handy'. I hope this helps.
