Cheaper you can get- better you cannot. Do not bother with other brands
What you want in this tool is functionality. This works ***perfectly*** with the Leatherman bits with the rectangular base fitting-- as well, of course, as the std hex. Reading about others that work sort of, no, that's a hard no. When you're reefing on a fastener you don't need wiggly, you don't need slipping, you don't want wobbling. Totally impressed by the quality. Look here and look no further. I came to this from reading a review from another version, and the guy said, "don't get this, get the Galvanox." He was spot on.

Well priced at $10 USD
As a disclaimer, I just received this product and have not put it to the test on any real jobs. That said, you pretty much get what you see here. it fits fine in my Leatherman Charge+ and it's cheaper than modifying either the multitool or the bit extenders I have, and it does fit a good variety of bits, plus a little extension makes it as good as the average bit driver when you need more reach. It fits 1/4" bits and leatherman bits, and retains both fairly well. Bits without a notch may have a tendency to slip back into the tool, requiring pliers to get out. I recommend trying to find a longer bit or short double bit if you need to apply a lot of longitudinal force to it, or if your bits are especially short maybe you need a small ball bearing dropped down into the hole first to take up the distance. It uses a retention ring inside the hole to hold the bits.Where it interfaces with the multitool it is snug and secure, although for mine, it is a little bit long to fully engage the retention clip in the multitool into the notch in the extension. I may need to file it down just a hair's breadth. This really improves your tools versatility as you can add a 1/4" square driver to your kit with a 10mm socket attached and a few in your kit and all the sudden you can get around bolts that the pliers just won't reach when you need to most. you can get bits that Leatherman cant/won't support like JIS bits for your vintage Japanese motorcycle, small drill bits you can use for bushcraft, or just whatever you like.

Not a good fit for the Skeletool
I bought this bit driver extension as an option to use 1/4" Bits for the skeletool, but not to pay the (currently listed) $70 leatherman ratcheting version. Overall the tool was of good quality, the part of the driver that fits into the flat bit driver that leatherman uses works well enough, but does not lock in place and can fall out with a good shake. The real thing that bothered me was that the shaft of the driver does not fit in the exoskeleton with the handles in a fully closed position, as it does not fit between the spacer that the carabiner provides on the opposite handle. It would get jammed, and bend the metal on the opposite side. For $11 I think it's an excellent product, but would work better with the models that have the more standard leatherman heel, or just only use this attachment on Skeletool with the driver handle in the open position.I have since ordered a product from Shapeways that is a tiny hammer that goes into the carabiner space, and has a flat leatherman, 1/4", and 4mm without taking up much space - it was about $50 though. I have not received the item yet but might be a good solution for others too.

Perfect Fit!
I purchased the extender for use with my Leatherman MUT. The fit into the MUT is perfect and the extender is ferrous so I'll take them at their word that it's 420HC stainless but I still put a light coat of gun oil on it to delay the inevitable. I put a locking bit into it, like the ones used with an impact driver, and the retaining ring inside the extender definitely kept it from coming out. I had to clamp the bit into a vise to get it removed so I left the bit in the vise and pushed the extender on and pulled it off until I could do it semi-easily by hand, about 10 or 12 times, now it's good to go. I don't look at the bit removal as a bad thing, it's an easy fix and I wouldn't have been happy if those types of bits fell out. Included pic is the bit type I'm referring to.

Fits Leatherman flat bits perfectly
Good quality extension. Leatherman flat bits fit perfectly and the extension fits nicely in the Leatherman bit holder. Works great

Not magnetic like listing states
Listing says its magnetic which it is not so I was misled by that. There is a metal ring inside to hold the bits. It holds the leatherman bits pretty well. Regular 1/4 in bits seem to sit a little deep and its hard to get them out by hand, I end up using the pliers to get them. Havent used it on and hard fasters yet so cant atest to strength yet. Just wish they would remove the magnetic section from the listing as it is misleading.
