The difference is one is straight screw driver. The other one can be straight or twist and turn into gun shape. This can be useful when you use the torque setting. You have more control of thr drivers. Hope this helps.

On the top behind the Forward/Reverse control. It has 4 segments.

How do I turn this thing on?

First make sure it has been charges. The all you have to do in use the red switch.. press the top to screw in and press the bottom to remove a screw. There is also a torque button below the red switch. When you press it the green arrow will ligh up. If you press it a few time you increase the torque the light go up. If you continue to press the torque reduce and light go out. Hope this helps.
