What type of roller is best you use for rough floor tiles?

I always use a 4” paint brush. Much more control over where the sealer actually goes and that it seals the joints and edges. If there is a very large area to cover then do it in sections allowing drying time in between. Floors always have a lovely sheen and much easier to keep dust free.

Hi,I got this to treat a large slate tiled floor in a kitchen. The floor had been laid 6-7 years ago and never sealed.We spent almost a day scrubbing the tiles and grout to make sure they were as clean as possible.Finding the right type of 'brush' to apply the product was difficult. We ended up using a Vileda sponge mop head!The product is very thin, almost like watered down PVA.We poured it into a paint tray and dipped the mop heead into it.Make sure you apply very thin layers, in the same direction.It drys pretty quickly so that you can apply additional layers.We ened up applying 4 coats in the most used area of the kitchen. The difference in the appearance of the tiles is amazing. They are shiny and bright.We have loads of product left!Hope that helps!

Can this be used on lvt flooring? (luxury vinyl tiles)

Its a great product, easy to use and left a lovely sheen on the tiles.

The tiles in my hallway have been the bane of my life since we moved in. They were badly laid over an uneven surface, over time they came loose and broke. I'd had enough of stubbed toes, trips and cut feet so I decided to "restick" the wobbly and broken ones. After several attempts a runny adhesive worked best (working as a floor leveller too). The tiles are quite porous and the dirt stuck firm, during the first "lockdown" I scrapped all the old grout out by hand then regrouted. I spent 3 days on my knees (ouch) scrubbing with a brush and neat floor cleaner (flash worked best and I even tried "brick acid"). Two coats of HG Protective Coating Satin Gloss Finish and WOW I can't believe how good they look. I wish now I'd cut the loose tiles diagonally to sit better on the uneven parts of the floor instead of breaking them to fit. I fitted a carpet runner the length of the hallway. I'm looking forward to next spring as the hallway will be a joy to clean (I hope anyway).Its a great product, easy to use and left a lovely sheen on the tiles.

Not as impressive as expected

I tried the HG Tile Protector (Product 14) on my stone floor tiles, but I’m not really seeing the satin glass finish shine as described. The application was easy, but the results were underwhelming. It didn’t give the finish I was hoping for. It might help with protection, but overall, not too impressed.

Fantastic shine

I have chunky rustic floor tiles with wide dark grout in my kitchen, dining room, hall and utility room, so that's about 70sqm in all. They are extremely difficult to maintain and keep clean and still looked shabby after mopping, steaming, scubbing.I was considering getting quotes for replacement flooring until someone recommended HG floor products.I bought this tile protector and the follow on shine restorer. I followed the instructions carefully to prepare the floor before application and the results are remarkable! My floor is now completely transformed, it is clean and has a beautiful shine.
