Is the flap sturdy enough to keep the little fluff balls in when it's locked? Mine are escape artists and worked in tandem to break the last one!

Yes definitely. In fact our little one struggles to get through when it’s unlocked as the fraught exclusion seal keeps the flap quite snug. Our big cat cannot get through when locked. Very good cat flap
