Q: Is this keto friendly?

Thanks for your question! All of our the sugar in our date nectar is derived naturally from dates, and there is no sugar added. That said, this is not a low-sugar food and therefore does not qualify as keto.

Q: Does this have a “taste” at all (caramel, honey, etc)? I currently use cassava syrup or coconut nectar in my coffee because it’s very neutral.

It has a taste. It's made from dates so it tastes a lot like dates but, to me, not as sweet as dates. I rarely drink coffee but when I do, I do not use any sweeteners. Consequently, I don't know how well this would go with that beverage. I've enjoyed it mixed with plain Greek yogurt and cinnamon, drizzled on watermelon and other fruits. I'm sure it may be used in place of syrup on French toast, pancakes, etc., although I have not eaten French toast or pancakes in quite some time. Honey is my usual sweetener for other beverages.
