It worked as advertised and helped me find a hidden oil leak from a hard to see place (only with a small mirror, a flash light, and lots of patience).

Worked perfect. Couldn't figure out if the leak on a motorcycle was the main oil, primary oil, or transmission. A squirt of a couple CC's in the transmission revealed where it was coming from. No need to fire the parts canon. I have a good Convoy UV flashlight that lit up the drops of oil.

The media could not be loaded. I definitely found the leak! I've been smelling fuel for a couple weeks. I put this stuff into a half a tank (around 9 gallons) made a trip to town and back (15 miles) shined my uv light under the hood and blamo there it is a faulty injector. I was parked in the shade around 3pm and still had no trouble seeing it. Good stuff.

Looks more orange than yellow in engine oil under a black light with yellow glasses on. Ends up almost the same color as Dexcool coolant. Would be more helpful if it was actually yellow looking. Otherwise works like dye should.

I finally found my oil leak using this product. The only downside is you need a special UV light to even see it. Very cheap too! But other than that 100% would recommend for oil leaks.

I used the product to locate a power steering fluid leak. I simply dumped the contents of the bottle into the power steering reservoir and drive the car to circulate the fluid and dye. Upon returning, I was able to easily locate the source of the leak by using a uv flashlight. The dye caused the fluid to appear a neon green color which was very noticeable with use of a uv light in a dimly lit garage.Using this product saves diagnostic time and potentially saves you money from unnecessary repairs because it offers you the ability to pinpoint the source of the leak.I am very pleased with the product.

I used this UV in my two vehicles, none of them showed any significant signs of leak via UV light. I used a very strong UV light designed for oil leak detections. However, nothing is showed clearly with this dye. Installation is easy though with just put this dye directly into engine oil fill spot and driving around, so the dyes can go into leak areas.

BMW mechanic said I needed a new oil pan because my pan was leaking. I knew it wasn’t because I normally do all of the service on my vehicle. I wanted to verify before a spent $4500 on an oil pan replacement. Purchased two bottles with a black light) to verify if the oil pan was actually leaking. Come to find out, it wasn’t. It’s a great $10 verification (with a $20 black light) before you spend $1000’s on unnecessary service.
