My relative has Alzheimer's and we were going on a cruise. Previously she has woken in the night and whilst needing the toilet has actually opened the cabin door. Finding herself outside in the corridor she was lost. This very simple gadget stops the door from being opened from the inside but could be released in an instant if there was an emergency. Perfect.

Bought this for my backpacking adventure as a solo female.It broke after only using it once. It is very flimsy and doesn't hold up well in luggage.Will be looking for another one to use next time.

Bought this for the daughter who's living in a shared house.No lock on her door but this device stops casual walk ins.Gives her a little peace of mind.Doesn't work on every door and won't stop someone determined to get in.

Its made of plastic but does the job.

Don’t listen to all the 4/5 star reviews. Clearly they have only left a review after only a few days of weeks after having the item.Firstly, the item is fine in terms of its use case. It does the job well of being a portable door lock. However as seen in the photo provided, it’s cheap garbage. The rubber bit broke after 3 months (No extreme forceful pressure has been applied). This is not the first time it’s happened either as I’ve bought 2 of them total. The main selling point of this product is that it offers “safety” and “piece of mind”. What a load of bull. It’s a cheap plastic garbage product that degrades extremely fast

I loved how this is lightweight, fits in hand luggage and worked on the hotel room door in America. A must for a solo female traveller.

This device does not work where the lock is not flush with the door. The door I tried it on was an older style one, the device fits but can be opened without to much effort. I'm going to keep it because I'm sure it will work with other doors I come across.

This tools is brilliant, it works really well. Xx
