Get the good stuff don’t cheap out.
The setup is fairly easy and the cord has a good length to it. Works pretty great and haven’t had any sort of problems. It’s worth it for full price so if you see it on sale and need one it’s a MUST BUY! I’ve had it for four months now and it works flawlessly every day. I like it because even though it looks bright it’s not it’s actually pretty dim because it’s meant for uvb. I have it on for 8-12 hours a day every day with absolutely no problems. Feels nice and not cheap like some others.

Came intact and functioning.
Great product for any smaller reptile owner, I got this one for my brother's leopard gecko and it works wonderfuly for the size. Pricy but worth the money spend considering the bulbs last a lot longer then the ones from the pet store.

Fixture only lasted 3 months
I purchased Oct 20, 2024 and it worked okay until end of November when the power cord wouldn’t stay in the fixture. Being that it was past my 30 days, I duck taped it together. Then today Feb 11, 2025 it quit working. I thought maybe the bulb went out but it was the fixture. So I reached out to the seller, Basic Reptiles, thru the warranty and will be getting the fixture replaced. Very quick and friendly customer service.

Exactly what you're looking for
Mine was perfect. No issues. Pricey yes, but exactly what I needed for the ball python

Works very small
I like this product. It’s kind of expensive, but i haven’t had any issues with Arcadia dhp bulbs so I figured it’s safer to go with them again. This is very small and very expensive so that’s one down side. Another issue is I’m not sure if it was the company that packaged it or if it was something that happened in shipping, but the box was absolutely mangled with no other packaging to protect the bulb. No bubble wrap, nothing. Luckily my product still works and didn’t break, but was very worried about it when it arrived after seeing the packaging.

Get the job done
I use this for my baby ball python’s 50 gallon plastic tub terrarium. Works as intended. The hardest part was getting the bulb into the housing unit. I thought I had turned the bulb enough and thought it didn’t work at first. My advice is don’t be afraid to put some effort into turning the bulb once it’s in the socket. You might feel a slight click at first but then REALLY turn it and it should lock into place. It works. I also don’t like how easily the power cord can fall out of the housing unit if you move it but otherwise it’s fine. I got it on a 12/12 timer. No issues so far but from what I hear, you should get a tool to measure the uv strength and replace the bulb every 6-12 months to ensure it’s emitting the proper amount of uv.
