Outstanding!
Outstanding! This book is excellent for the novice or even a long-time prepper like myself. I highly recommend it to all who want to wisely prepare for any difficulty which may arise in this world and society resulting in a limitation or absence of a readily available potable water source. Water is life; this book is a valuable asset to anyone wise enough to be thinking about their water supply in a short or long emergency.Frankly, I was amazed at the number of important topics compiled and the variety of scenarios the author covered in this book. Whether you're in an urban or rural environment, you will find yourself in this book and then be able to devise a plan of action suited to your needs.First, unlike many instructional books, this guide is artistic. It set the importance of water in both historical and physiological context, and buttresses that unique approach with thoughtful apropos quotations to begin each chapter. The writing style is conversational and engaging– as if a good friend who is extremely knowledgeable about the subject is sharing advice from his study and experience with you. Each chapter adequately/thoroughly explored its given topic – complete with realistic examples, supplies to acquire, and things to do (for yourself and your family) to have the skills/knowledge/provisions necessary for many situations. I appreciated the logical progression; it is well-thought out and organized - a pleasure to read. Despite being far more knowledgeable than most on such a topic, I found myself taking notes of more actions I can easily and economically take to ensure/improve greater preparation for our family.I've previously spoken with acquaintances who I considered intelligent only to be shocked at their ignorance of how much water they will require (think consumption for hydration/cooking/hygiene/sanitation/gardening/pets and more) and their lack of preparation for their water supply; it seems many people in our society make false assumptions – potentially dangerous assumptions – that they will always have what they need one way or another. Preparation is the key, and I believe this book to be an invaluable resource to anyone who is wise enough to be thinking about this topic.I am an individual who believes in personal responsibility and accountability. This book will help any thoughtful person realize the importance of planning and practicing skills and have the provisions they need to care for themselves (and those they love). It is a mistake to think anyone outside yourself will be there to help you – not the government – not friends – not charities - you should (I believe) make sure you are as prepared as possible considering your resources and situation to be able to provide for yourself first (with others being only a possible secondary source) whether its water or anything else in life. There are so many subjects covered, this book is, of course, helpful for planning for the unknown future, and also can be beneficial to our daily activities now (think camping/off-grid living/temporary electrical outages/ecological concerns/etc.).It's a book to begin immediate planning/preparation with as well as a book to guide one's mindset in any difficult situation. I became amazed (and learned much) at the impressive attention to detail the author gives every topic. There were subjects in this book I never guessed would be in it – and I benefited greatly because of it.Well-researched (glancing at the extensive bibliography at the end was no surprise after having read this book and discovered how detailed it was), I am mindful of how much time this book must have taken to write and how much time it consequently can save the conscientious individual interested in learning.I am grateful the author cared enough to write such a valuable book, and I highly recommend it to all!

In depth information that answers every question you might have about water.
Jonathan Nash does it again! In this 2nd installment of much needed survival knowledge, he covers EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about the subject of water. I mean we, as humans, have to drink water to maintain any level of functionality, on a regular basis, right? So here is all that information in one place and in one book. Even if you're not interested in any kind of a doomsday scenario, but you are interested in living a healthy lifestyle or are any kind of an athlete; this book is for you. This book answered all of my questions, nagging doubts and down right preconceived misconceptions that I had about how your body absorbs water and why it is beneficial.I'll get down off my soap box here in just a moment, but I'll leave you with this thought: how come we weren't taught about water in such a complete way before?

Great Book
This book is unlike any other in the preparation category. Now, this author even says that all the advice is not going to cover every situation that is known or (unknown) to mankind, rather, that he can explain the basics and have people fill in the blanks for their own situation. This book I can tell is going to be very useful with one of our most precious resources; water. No being or animal on earth can live without it! This is why it is so important to know how to purify it and survive. This is a great book and a book to get. I highly recommend this book!

The book has useful knowledge for those that dont know. Could be better
This book has alot of useful knowledge but the only actual advice about water was 8 drops of chlorine for 1 gallon of water. I was hoping to see more thing about long term storage and chemicals to use. Nothing like that here. This book is based mostly around a 3 day to 3 week disaster. Honestly i already knew everything in this book so it didn’t really satisfy me. He did spend some time on water catchment but i was looking for long term water storage and rotation.
