Beautiful
This is an absolutely beautiful story that is inspiring. It was so good to hear about a saint and learn about his life. My friend let me know that this is an unofficial saint of Italy and I wished to learn about him. It is an unforgettable book that I enjoyed on both kindle and audible platforms.

Pio
A beautiful biography. The more you read, the closer you get to Padre Pio. He was an amazing person and his devotion to God through all his hardships was unwavering.

Thoroughly researched and well written.
Well researched and written account of Saint Padre Pio's life. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in understanding either Padre Pio or the life of a Saint in general.

Excellent
Wonderful book. Detailed biography. Honest and surprisingly so. The author made Padre Pio a very human and vulnerable, at times, saint. Loved the author’s inclusion of the facts regarding the Rome church in the early 1900’s. That too was a surprise. Naive me: nefarious and wicked deeds have been a part of that institution for quite some time. It did not detract from the biography nor was the portrayal unfair. It was merely frank; showing where, humans are involved, it can be a dicey venture. This applies, broadly, to each and every organization across the world. That said, the Catholic Church was not singled out. Its majesty and potential for goodness remained in tact.

An extraordinary saint!
I’ve always wanted to read a biography of Saint Padre Pio. This book was such a good read. The author did a good research and presented the facts clearly and identifying the ones that might be considered legends. After reading this, I thought could God really favour someone so much with graces that he could easily perform miracles? Well, with God anything is possible. Padre Pio was such a humble servant that the Holy Spirit was always at work through him because of his openness to receiving the graces and his readiness to do the will of God. I have grown so fond of Padre Pio after reading this good book.

Highly detailed portrait
This is lengthy and highly detailed looking at the life of an extraordinary person. My wife and I read this aloud to each other. We often pause to discuss the way the “invisible world” intersects with our daily life. Not for everyone- but good for us. Padre Pio was an extreme contemplative who invites people to consider radical Christ-centered discipleship.

Life Changing Book
I have been riveted to every word written in this book about the great Saint Padre Pio. The man who wrote this book wasn’t even a Catholic! He was a protestant. It is simply a beautiful series of stories about this simple Franciscan who lived in the south of Italy. He was connected directly to Jesus Christ and the Madonna. There are so many witnesses and people who were blessed by the prayers and the intercession of Padre Pio. His mantra was always pray, hope, and don’t worry. I remember hearing about him in the 1960s because of his stigmata. But I never looked into it because I was a young man and not focused on God like I am today. I am so glad I read this book and learned about Padre Pio. It is very well written and a compelling narrative with wonderful stories of Padre Pio‘s battles and miracles. Also I learned about Pope Pius the 10th who I never knew about. Padre Pio really looked up to him because he was the pope when Padre Pio was young. What a great pope! Kind of like John Paul the second. If you are interested in the hereafter and if you want to increase your relationship with Jesus Christ and also increase it through the intersection of the blessed mother I am Ploor you to read this book. It is simply beautiful and important.

Pater PIO is not too much known but he had an very interesting life.He had to overcome many obstacles, even in his own church, but succeded in his vision. He healed my lady when she was 5 years old in Italy that no doctor could do! She is still alive (93) and prays to Pater Pio every day.Get the book, you will not regret it (no I am not selling his book) Klaus
