Haven't tried the wicks yet but the warmer, pot, spoon, and thermometer work great. The wax melts super fast, within four minutes, and very easy to use and understand. Does NOT need to be at highest heat to melt wax. Would definitely recommend for a beginner like me

This is my first attempt at candle making. The hot plate melts wax fast. I set the control to 3 and before I knew it the temp was at 370. Thermometer works good. I let it cool to 130 and poured. Not sure if I burned it but when it cools completely I'll see how it burns. My bad. a 6 oz mason jar filled to the fill mark with 5 oz of wax. Next I set it to 2 and had to watch as the temp of the wax rose. At 170 I took it off the burner and cooled to130 I poured. Caution this thing gets super hot fast. Pouring was easy with no dripping. The wax pours yellow but initial dry of the candle that reached turned cream which is fine with me. Wicks are thin and waxed. The one that only reached 370 is hardening rusty cream. 170 is hardening white. Overall very happy with this kit.

I actually purchased this for the pitcher and heater for a different project.I did make one candle, though, and the wax melted very well and the candle is holding up.The little burner and the metal pitcher work very well and appeared to be very durable.I was surprised at the contents of the kit, which has a great deal of product for the price. My review was less than perfect for the following reasons:The wick holder that's supposed to go across the top of the candle jar is very short, and kept falling in to the candle I was trying to make.The little sticky pads to hold the wick down came up immediately and the wick floated. I had to be creative to get it to stay on the bottom .

This has worked well for me. I’m just starting out making candles and it came with everything I needed except the tins to put the wax in. Easy to use. Compact size so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Excited to get better at candle making.

perfect beginner kit. looks good. Kids should always be supervised when using this product as it does get extremely hot and cause burns.

Great for candle making - it quickly mets the waxA little too hot but I turn it off and then turn it back on for my next batch since it quickly warms up. Easy to pour out and no mess. I recommend this product.

The mini stove works well and melts wax with no problems. Just keep the heat low to medium or else you'll experience a combustion in to flames. Something you don't want to experience. Good stuff.
