My grandchildren range from age 4-10. There are exercises and activities that I can use with all of these children. This is practical guide that provides the scientific explanation as well as some guiding questions that direct the child’s attention to what is taking place. Some of the easier experiments I can use readily with the 4 year old and they will be basic enough for him to understand them. Some of the more sophisticated experiments will be above his head, but he can be amazed at the magic of science and understand the concepts in the future and will still enjoy the activity at his young age. The older children will readily be able to do many of these experiments independently. The company provides a lot of extension experiments beyond what is in the manual. Directions and explanations are exceptionally clear. Provided equipment is not great but certainly adequate. I highly recommend as a beginning science kit. Having read through all of the experiments I am very excited about using this kit.

I very rarely leave reviews anymore but i had bought this back in July during prime day for Christmas. So we just opened it and my 5 year old and i have been working through the whole book!It’s perfect, the directions are clear and easy to read and explain what we are learning while we create. Yet, the tools are all perfect for small hands and allow her to do all the work.This has been a great kit and i can easily see us purchasing more in the future! It starts very simple and gradually grows into more fun things!Truly just love this kit, it’s been a lot of fun for us to do!
