Secure Home Security Hub
The eufy HomeBase S380 is an excellent upgrade for my home security setup. I love that it offers local expandable storage up to 16TB, which means I can save all my security footage without worrying about running out of space or paying for cloud subscriptions. The advanced encryption provides peace of mind knowing my data stays private and secure.Setup was simple, and it integrates seamlessly with my existing eufy cameras. The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection has been reliable, and everything runs smoothly through the app. It’s also great that there are no monthly fees, which makes it a cost-effective long-term solution.Overall, this is a powerful and flexible home security hub that delivers exactly what it promises. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a secure, expandable, and subscription-free option.

Very well designed, user friendly, great quality.
I've trusted Ankar for many years for chargers which is the parent company. These systems are well thought out, integrate together seemlessly and work as promised. I was so impressed with my home system that I wired a second poperty with EUFY as well. I incorporate the E340 flood lights, the S330 video doorbell, and the S380 homebase. Setup is very easy, the instructions are easy to follow, and customer support is very responsive if you have issues. The cameras have a myriad of options for motions sensing, light activation, time, detection range, and intesity. The doorbell has a "package" camera and will notify you at delivery if you like. The doorbell and camera audio options work very well and are clear and easy to use. I have one doorbell hardwired through the existing doorbell switch which was easy to setup and works great, the other doorbell I charge, the battery holds up as advertised at roughly 6 months per charge. Charging involvews removing the battery from the doorbell with the included pin that opens the doorbell. The smart AI type options that identify faces takes a while to work and still needs some additional development work but is not a required feature feature IMHO. I use a 1TB hard drive in the base which looks like it will hold over a year's worth of video data based on current usage after several months. Installation of the hard drive is straightforward and easy and formatted via a simple menu. Access throught the app is easy and works very well. I travel internationally and can always access both properties and make any adjustments on the fly from anywhere. These hold up great through weather and PA winters. I have never had a cold weather issue with them. The night vision works so well that I seldom have the flood lights enabled for night motion sensing. The only real difference is you get color with the flood light enabled and under night vision the scene is black and white. I do not use the solar cameras so cannot comment but if they work as well as everything else they should be exceptional. Very impressed with the design, quality, user interface, and flexibility of everything in the system.

More storage, easier to manage IMHO
I should note, that I am only a week into usage after my purchase and setup/install of the cameras and Homebase. If anything collapses and my cameras assist Skynet in the takeover on August 29, 2025, then I'll update later.I ordered the S380 Homebase to accompany three Eufy S340 Solocams. Then I ordered a Samsung 870EVO 1TB SSD. Hooking up the Homebase was a simple as a) installing the app on my iPhone 15Pro Max. b) plugging the ether-net cord into my router and then into the Homebase c) plugging the Homebase into a power source and d) following the instructions in the app to gain access to the Homebase and the cameras (pushing the sync button, scanning the QR codes on the base and cameras).I cannot vouch for anyone else's experience, as I have only mine, but the walk-through on the app was straightforward and worked easily. I had no issue getting the Homebase to recognize my router and then getting the Homebase to recognize the cameras. Even after I accidentally turned off the power to it, it was nothing more than ensuring that it was plugged back in. Less than two minutes later, all cameras were communicating with the Homebase again and I could run through the menus and playbacks without a problem.Installing the extra storage drive - on the face of it - was super easy. Just unplug the base, attach the drive and slide it back into the base. The Homebase recognized my SSD right away (Use the app to check the status and whether or not it 'sees' it), and all I had to do after that was format it. Boom, I have enough storage I won't have to worry about it for an extended period.Again, I cannot speak to anyone else's issues, but my set up and experience so far has been seamless. I do wonder if firmware updates have resolved some of the issues other folks experienced. So far so good and I have no complaints at the moment. I do believe that having your router centrally located in your home will help with connectivity. Also, I noted that by simply moving the Homebase out from BEHIND a TV and instead to the left of it and thus closer to two cameras, connectivity improved immediately for one camera. Knock on wood, ALL three cameras are solidly connected. This system was a relatively easy choice for me. I had two people I trust recommend it. It was on par with or a little less than other brands with similar capabilities and features (Nest, Ring, Arlo). There is no subscription fee and with the ability to dramatically upgrade storage, you likely will never need cloud storage if you're just using it for home security (I would say a business might have different needs). Not having to pay a subscription fee will (albeit slowly) offset the cost of the system and SSD I purchased.

Great setup for home security with local storage and no online fees
So far the new base 3 has worked very well. The added a I human detection, facial recognition and vehicle recognition have all been pretty cool. It's awesome that I can upgrade the storage to 16 TB, but the biggest drawback is that it only supports a 2 and 1/2 in hard drive. Most all surveillance hard drives for security systems are 3 and 1/2 in so you have to get a standard laptop. Hard drive to put in this and I'm not sure how that'll hold up long-term. All in all, this is a budget-friendly system that works well. Easy to set up and has local storage.
