Caramel flavor deliciousness!
I have to say that I’m impressed with this caramel. It is true that the texture can be confusing. It’s not soft or hard, sorta right in the middle. What’s impressive is that by the addition of the almonds, it helped to balance that texture “weirdness” in my opinion. There was a little stickiness on the top of my molars that also gave it an authentic caramel after-feel the further I chewed. But the flavor? WOW! I can see why others and their reviews indicated eating more than several. They’re delicious! Taste just like a caramel without any weird aftertaste. Eating a couple got rid of my sugar fix without pounding in the calories. Definite 5 stars for that alone, and definitely worth its price. This will be a go to for sure!

Very Good, but Hit or Miss on Chewiness
Our first order of caramels last month was SO good — chewy, buttery and sweet. Our second box tastes the same, but they are hard as rocks — not chewy at all. My husband and I have recently found out we are somewhat pre-diabetic and were looking for candy not sweetened with sugar alcohols that can upset your stomach. These caramels taste good enough to give them another chance in the future.

Use Caution; These Are Very Thick Hard Candies
These have a nice flavor, very similar to traditional toffee. The reason for the 3 stars is for the misleading packaging. The description on the box says "soft and chewy." These are not soft caramels. They are hard candies, even harder than brittle or toffee. They are more similar in hardness to a lollipop or Jolly Rancher. They are also very thick. So, I would suggest caution in choosing whether or not to attempt chewing them. Whereas chewing on a thinner hard candy, like Werther's, would probably not damage your teeth, these most certainly would cause damage if one bit down too hard. This wasn't what I was expecting, so I thought that perhaps I'd just gotten a box that came from an odd batch. So, I ordered another box a few weeks later to compare before writing this review. The second box I received contained candies that were just as hard. If you are looking for a giant caramel flavored "jolly rancher," this is your candy. If you want soft caramels, it would be better to get traditional caramels, Werther's soft or chewy caramels, or (for a vegan option) cocomels. Plus, other brands typically use far less plastic packaging that Choc Zero, so those would be more environmentally friendly options, as well.

Taste great and no side effects
1) tastes great. Soft and chewy and sweet2) none of the sugar free candy gastrointestinal side effects. Although this might have to do with the fact this isn’t really one of those binge eating candies. If you’re on a keto diet and want a taste of something sweet, 2-3 of these will do the trick

Dried out but really delicious anyway!
These candies are simply loosely wrapped in a twisted wax paper shape then placed in a cardboard box! All moisture is lost within days! These things are NOT chewy as advertised. They are very dired out and hard but are still so uniquely yummy that I ate them all in 2 days. I will order more. Btw, to the people who threw theirs away… OMG Cmon! Send them to me instead!
