Excellent mouse - and good value at the price
TeckNet® M002 Nano Wireless Mouse,6 Buttons, 18 Month Battery Life, 2000 DPI 3 Adjustment Levels-Grey This TeckNet M002 Nano Optical Wireless Mouse is the best mouse I have bought. The specifications of the model sent by TeckNet are in fact better than the description on the Amazon website and as provided by the ASIN link above. According to the clear and comprehensive instruction leaflet that came with it, the mouse I received supports FIVE levels of DPI (not limited to three); it supports 800/1200/1600/2000/2400 DPI. You press the DPI button to move between these levels. This means that on the higher settings it would be fine for gaming laptops - and as such it is very good value and of a high specification for the price. The default DPI setting the mouse came with seems fine to me - I haven't had to change the DPI as the mouse cursor moves comfortably and responsively across the screen at this setting. I have never found it neccessary to fiddle with DPI settings - and I am not sure I would notice the difference unless I was using a high-end game, when you might want to try it on 2400 DPI or if your PC screen is extremely high resolution. The TechNet M002 feels solid with good reliable click actions on all buttons. It is also a very comfortable ergonomic fit for the right hand. (I am left-handed but taught myself to use a mouse in the right hand some years ago – and I now find using my right hand for the mouse completely natural. This mouse is not really the right shape for left-handers.)The TechNet M002 takes one AA battery which will last up to 18 months, obviously depending on usage. This is better than the two previous mice I bought from other suppliers, which take two AAA batteries that need changing a lot more frequently than this. There are several great advantages with this type of nano optical wireless mouse. The nano receiver is tiny and fits snugly in a spare USB port. It is so unobtrusive that you can leave it in the USB port all the time, even inside a laptop carry-case, without worrying that the little receiver might place strain on the port fitting – it just doesn’t stick out far enough to do any harm. (Compare this with the large USB -plug-ins that used to come with mice – at least the size of a flash drive and easily knocked if moving the laptop around).Another advantage of this type of mice is that it connects easily, automatically and reliably with your laptop first time, unlike Bluetooth mice, for which you have first to make sure that the Bluetooth is switched on and that the Bluetooth mouse is ‘discovered’ by your laptop. My advice is to avoid Bluetooth mice – they are unreliable and fiddly to install on your PC.A third advantage is that nano optical devices like the TeckNet mouse are wireless – so no connecting the mouse by wire to a USB port is necessary - while they perform as well and are as accurate as wired mice. The TechNet mouse was delivered promptly the next day following placing the order, and I like the fact that though the mouse is manufactured in China, it is supplied by a UK-based company which offers an extra six months warranty on the 18 months warranty that comes with the mouse as standard, if you register your purchase with them. All in all I am very impressed with this mouse – and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who want a decent, reliable nano optical mouse with good specifications at a very reasonable price.

Extremely good in the hand, but sometimes mis-clicks
I bought this to replace a similar, much-loved Gamekraft gaming mouse I bought 7 years ago, as the dongle finally disintegrated, and they were no longer being made. I spent a long time researching and reading reviews, and tried two other different models/styles of mouse, (including an expensive, Logitech super-ergonomic one), both of which, for various reasons, had to go back, before settling on this.I have fairly large hands for a woman, though not enormous, and this fits me perfectly, though I think it would also suit larger hands than mine. It feels very good in the hand, though it's a little on the heavy side, compared to my previous mouse, due to the two AA batteries. (The old one could use either one or two, depending on preference.) Not a deal breaker, though. I think it is misrepresented at 10.5cm long; it's just over 11 cm.The wireless connection was quick and simple, and it hasn't needed to be reconnected since getting it, two and a half weeks ago. The action on the screen is excellent, and the scroll wheel has just enough notchiness to give tactile feedback as you scroll, without feeling too juddery. Some of the answered questions have said this mouse has a quiet click. It doesn't. If you want it to use at night without disturbing someone else, you'll need to look elsewhere. (And if you're a gamer living with other people, and play very clicky games, do please, for the love of god, buy a silent mouse!)I've also experienced a fair few mis-clicks, when you think you've clicked - it certainly makes the clicking noise - but the click hasn't registered. I'm not completely happy with that, but I'm putting up with it because my biggest need was for a mouse that is comfortable with heavy use, and which moves well, and this is, and does. Very much so. However, if you care less about comfort and really need a mouse that never mis-clicks, buy a different one. (Or possibly switch the dongle to a USB port on the same side of the computer as your mouse hand.)The mouse glides nicely on the surfaces I use it on, most frequently fabric, (dark sofa/light bed sheets), and I've never had a problem with the cursor tracking on these surfaces. I haven't used a mouse mat since I bought my first optical mouse, 9 years ago. A blonde wood desk also works fine, though not glass.I'm using this with a 2 year-old Windows 10 laptop, but have also tried it with a 9 year-old Macbook Pro, (running El Capitan), and both are fine. If you find the cursor less than smooth, just go into your computer settings and adjust it from there. The two thumb buttons won't function on a Mac, but they seem to work well in Windows and are well positioned. The main (rear) thumb button is textured, so you know without looking which is which. Other reviewers have mentioned Steermouse for Mac, if you want to use the side buttons, or to program them to a specific function, and there is also something called Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center available for download for Windows users, which apparently does the same thing. There are also lots of videos available on how to reassign mouse buttons.Sleep mode. I've used a mouse with this function for years, so it didn't take any getting used to, and I like it a lot. (No real learning curve the first time either, so I don't know why some people don't seem to like it.) I find the mouse wakes straight away when I move it; I don't seem to need to click. I think it goes into a slightly deeper sleep if I don't use it for a longer time, but by then my laptop is sleeping too, and that takes longer to wake than the mouse does. I also very much like that there is an off button, so you can travel without needing to take the batteries out. Can't comment on battery life yet as I've not had it long enough, though previous experience with this type of mouse suggests it will be at least a few months, even with my crappy rechargeables. In summary, I like this mouse a lot. It's supremely comfortable, and very smooth. I can go all day and half the night with this, and frequently do, without any hand or wrist discomfort. It loses a star for the occasional mis-clicking, (which didn't happen with my previous wireless mouse), but not for the noisy buttons, as it wasn't advertised as quiet. Oh yes, and I paid £7.99 for it, with Prime delivery, which is extraordinarily good value for money.EDIT: My rechargeable batteries lasted just two days short of 3 weeks, ie. 19 days. OK, so they're a bit old, and I'm sure brand new, super-longlife batteries would perform much better, but I was expecting a bit longer than that after the massive claim of 30 months. I used to change them once a month, (using one battery only), with my previous wireless mouse, which got exactly the same amount of use. Oh well, I still really like the mouse!

Not comfortably ambidextrous
The quality of the mouse feels good. It’s quiet and the L & R mouse buttons are in a good place. The roller feels a little heavy. It’s a good size for a comfort point of view. However, the 2 side buttons are on the left hand side. For someone using the mouse in their left hand my little finger keeps catching these buttons which isn’t good as you move around. Not good when you’re in the middle of cut and paste or saving your work

Supera ogni aspettativa
Semplicemente: ergonomico, ortopedico e termodinamico!
