Can you print without color cartridges

No, you cannot print without all 4 installed. If you want to print in black, it is much less expensive to print to a monochrome laser printer.

Does this product have wireless capabilities?

This does not have wireless but there are machines with this capability. Look for models with a W in the model description Example HP M521DW

Does this printer print abnormally slowly for large PDFs and PowerPoint files for anyone else?

Yes, it pretty much locks up every time when printing Powerpoint slides. Wish I had known this before I bought this thing. It is being returned.

Does this machine fax as well?

What's a FAX? Just kidding. Yes it does, although I never configured mine because the use of faxes seems to be on the decline.
