Great for my detailed child. She enjoys perler beads and diamond painting so this was an easy step for her.We used the suggestion from another poster, to use a crayon to color the wooden sections first, so it's easier to see where you want to make your X's.Originally i was disappointed in the plastic needle. But ultimately, it was perfect and we didn't have to worry about stepping or sitting on misplaced needles.You don't split the floss, you can use a full strand.

Cross-stitching is an intimidating craft, so this is a great beginners kit, because although the directions are minimal it's a solid craft that is easy to practice with and experiment with different techniques before jumping into stitching on cloth. You don't get directions on how to do the designs shown but you can test your creativity and get a feel of what happens if you do different ways of stitching. The holes are big enough that you can easily undo any mistakes and try different things.

Me and my grandkids had a lot a of fun! They are ages 12, 9, 6, and 5! For their 1st time add for the price.. it was fun and well with it.. would recommend!!

There were no key rings or plastic needles inside the package, not good! 😕

My 4 and 6 yr old grandchildren really enjoyed completing these.
