Buy this...do it yourself...no need for a plummer
Does its job perfectly....definitely value for money as opposed to hiring a plumber. Was able to pull the old one out within 10 seconds and have the shower up and running within 10 mins of changing out the cartridge.

Misleading Description: Soft Aluminum Instead of Stainless Steel
I was disappointed to discover that the product I received was made of soft aluminum instead of the stainless steel as described. The misleading information led me to believe I was getting a different material. While stainless steel is indeed non-magnetic, the use of aluminum in this tool seems ill-advised. Despite being slightly cheaper than alternatives, the aluminum construction makes it a disposable unit after just a few uses. I found that it struggles to handle more than a handful of stubborn valves before showing signs of wear. Opting for a product made of a more durable material would be a wiser choice for long-term use.

Works for casual use, but has issues (Moen 1200 valve with all-brass body and steel stem)
Worked fine for me to pull a cartridge I had installed myself (without a tool) about 11-12 years earlier. Made of aluminum so likely not durable. Body heated up while threading down handle to pull the cartridge - recommend some light grease on threads before using. Make sure to stabilize the handle and make sure the screw threads well into the valve stem before starting. I used this on a Moen 1200 valve cartridge from a pre-1990s "Moentrol" tub/shower valve which I had installed 11-12 years before and was glad I had it because it prevents putting strain on the valve body and plumbing while pulling on the valve stem without supporting against the valve body. Didn't use this tool to "twist" the cartridge because it came with a plastic tool to do that.I think for what you pay and not having to drive to the store to get a better more expensive one, this tool is completely serviceable, and I won't be mad if I can't find it in 12+ years when I have to next replace the cartridge.

Better to use this tool than tugging with pliers.
The tool works well and having changed them before using pliers I could tell when removing it wot this tool thatI wouldn’t have been able to pull it without a tool like this.

Made the job marginally easier
This feels sturdy and screws into the valve properly to be able to try and pull it out when replacing. The problem is it doesn't get enough bite on the sides of the valve to be able to turn it. So if the valve resists at all you're stuck. If you try to turn the valve using it to loosen it up eventually the tool breaks the plastic at the end of the valve and nearly free-spins. I ended up having to use a pair of vice grips in conjunction with this to get the old valve out. While this made it a little easier, the vice grips probably would have done the job alone. They really need to extend the prongs that go on either side of the valve at least 1/4 to 1/2 an inch in order to get a better hold.

Useful but didn’t quite do the job….
We had a very stuck cartridge and even this tool didn’t help on its own. Ultimately the cartridge broke apart in pieces and with this tool and pliers it finally came out.
