I want to wire this direct to a socket, what flex do I need?

Dont wire it into the socket! the easiest thing to do is use mains twin & earth, wire into a 3 pin plug & put a 5amp fuse in plug, then plug into the socket! you have made a lead light, there will be lots of peeps out there that say oh! you cant do that but its an easy way round as an old electrician showed me & the 4 separate tubes in my shed aint blown after 20 odd yrs. you didnt ought to do it in your kitchen but your sheds fine. now i'll wait for all the young sparks of today to slag me down!
