Worth the investment
Pricey for a flashlight but as someone who owns alot of different models i will say the Preformance is there. Most Reliable units i have are the Surefire & they seem to set the standard for lights & support equipment

Buy Once, Cry Once
Sure it's spendy, but on a firearm that you depend your life with, you can't go wrong. It is rugged, reliable, and easy to use. It sits on my Benelli M4 with an IWC mount on the left side and is easily actuated by my weak side hand.

Very bright light. Almost too bright.
So I got these M640DFT lights after already having 3 of the M340DFTs. It only has 700 lumens but with 100,000 Candela, it is very bright and has near perfect throw. For home defense it will blind the bad guy and give you plenty of light to identify the threat. It will also be awesome for night time steel challenge events. The spill allows you to see way more around the hot spot than my older 1000 and 1500 lumen lights do. The newer "Pro" mounting system pretty much negates the need for any other mounts. You can mount the light to Rail or M-lock at any position you need to tuck the light in close to the weapon-system. The price seems steep but you really get what you pay for. I've used Sure Fire Products in my job since 1992, I have never had a sure fire product fail.

Crazy bright
Hands down the brightest flash light I own, including all my non weapons mounted flash lights. This thing is wicked bright. Will definitely blind some one. It’s a little $$$ but worth it. The price is the only reason it doesn’t get the full 5 stars

It’s a freaking light saber!
The positives are It’s a Surefire, it will melt eyeballs from 300 yards away, mounting options are perfect, and love the shrouded button. The negatives are PRICE. It’s expensive but it’s worth having a light that just plain performs its job without question.

Love this light!
Buy once, cry once. I tried the Olight first, against all advice. Olight is pure garbage. Their lights will spontaneously power themselves up in the middle of the night, or when you insert a magazine too briskly. SureFire is high quality all around! Very satisfied with the brightness and throw of this light. I can easily take 200yd shots in the dark now.
