OXO Good Grips 11-Pound Stainless Steel Kitchen Scale with Pull-Out Display - Black

It’s stainless steel. I wish it could be a different color. So McDonald’s. I prefer bright, cheery, happy stuff. But my options were black and stainless, so okay, fine, stainless it is.It’s a really good scale. I tested it for accuracy with weights. I got the one that holds extra weight because I want to put heavy bowls on it sometimes and fill them with flour or meat. I love that it can handle that.It is simple to use and easily toggles between metric and regular weights. It holds the weight on the screen nicely so you get time to write it down if you need to do that. It’s so easy to use that I tossed the explanation. I don’t have to re-read it.But the BEST part is the little pull-out display thingie. I LOVE THAT THING. No contortions required to check the weight. No button to lock. No nothing. I can just SEE the flippin thing. Alleluia.Oxo is generally reliable but they really knocked it out of the park here. (Would it kill them to offer one that is a less depressing color?)

This has immediately tuned into my favorite scale I’ve ever used. I wasn’t aware that there could be such large differences between kitchen scales, and have used a cheap one for a long time. I finally decided to get a new one though after seeing this one recommended in a baking book for its pull out display ability when measuring large bowls.Immediately the build and heft of the scale out of the box felt very high quality. It doesn’t feel cheap like my previous scale. I really like how large the weighing surface is, and the stainless steel looks really nice. The extending display is super amazing to have when I need it, and has really nice magnets to hold it in the proper place when not being used. The display is big and readable, and very bright as well.There are some other functionalities and thoughtful design touches that this scale has that make it much nicer than my other scale as well, as OXO is known for. The modes of weighing are really versatile and simple, you can set it to show pounds and ounces or just ounces, or kilograms and grams or just grams, which is really nice to use depending on how the recipe phrases weights without having to do any math in your head (very easy for grams I know, but still).Overall, I love this scale and if you don’t have a kitchen scale, definitely get this one over any others. If you have a kitchen scale that’s getting old or not working the best, or you just want a nice looking upgrade, this scale will give you everything you’re looking for as well.

Works great, easy to use, and is a good size scale. The detachment can be a lil annoying but super easy to clean

Especially useful for weighing items saved in vacuum sealed bags to determine the defrost time on a microwave. Being able to disengage the display from the scale to weigh ingredients in a large bowl is a plus. Overall, a clean design and accurate as far as I can tell. Battery life is excellent.

Perfect product for the kitchen! I use this everytime I bake bread and I have never had an issue with it! The scale irked is light weight and easy to use. The scale is very accurate and easy to store. This product does exactly what it should and looks the way it’s being sold online! I would certainly recommend this to anyone considering it!

The size is perfect for baking, especially since you can pull out the part that reads the weight. The whole feature of the metal plate on top that is removable is amazing for cleaning purposes.Would recommend to anyone that is wanting to get into cooking or baking.

This scale is awesome. I love the large platform to put large bowls on it for weighing ingredients and it's really easy to change the measurement. I like that it does weight and volume measures because I use them both often. I've only had it a few weeks but I do recommend it for how easy it is to use.

The scale I already had was great for basic use, and I wanted one that could measure grams.After research, I landed on this one.I didn't want to buy it because why spend this much on a food scale?Well...The scale works well and is easy to use. I didn't have to YouTube U how to do it.The surface is stainless steel, not plastic. Perfect because I want quality materials that will last.This scale is a substantial size but small enough to store in a drawer. It looks and feels sturdy.I know and like OXO products.The final selling point is the pull-out display with large, clear numbers and a slight tilt, making it easier to read even with large bowls on the scale plate.
