Super great vacuum chamber I use it for resin!!! 5 stars !!
I have tried other vacuum chambers. This one is my ultimate favorite. There's literally no bubbles after I get my resin out of it. I bought the 3 gallon size but you literally don't need one that big. If you are only doing cups at a time it is a tad bit noisy, but that doesn't bother me one bit because the machine works absolutely amazing. The seal on the lid still works amazing on it and it's super easy to use. I literally hooked this up by myself and that was a miracle.😂😂 thank Gooodness for instructions that you can actually understand. I think it was super affordable compared to some other models and this one top them all in my opinion.!! my resin pieces come out clear and beautiful every time. I will buy the exact same model if mine never wears out.💙

Pump is great, lid won't seal to provided chamber.
The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my wife and I to use for degassing resin, plaster, silicone and for wood stabilizing. The pump works fantastic, if I plug the gauge with my finger it hits 1 bar in about 2 seconds. Now when I put the lid on the stainless stock pot they ship this with, whole different story. The pot is out of round at the top and bottom the rim and base are not flat. If that doesnt make sense, think of it this way. The pot actually rocks on a flat surface and the (slightly crappy) pictures show how on at least two large sections of the rim the lid is so far off that you can see inside the pot. it rocks on the bottomI have to put far too much weight for the chamber to seal, and the second I stop pushing down on the lid? Total loss of vacuum. Hoping if I contact their customer support they can make this right. Otherwise I have to go find a new stainless steel stock pot as I don't have one this size in my home. As usual, I will update my review if/when anything changes.

Seals the Deal: A Reliable Vacuum Chamber That Stands Up to Dust and Delivers
**Draft Review:**I've been using the Orion Motor Tech 3-Gallon Vacuum Chamber with the included 3.5 cfm pump for a few weeks now, and I'm impressed with how reliable it is—even in the dusty chaos of my woodshop. Most of the time, it seals right up and pulls a vacuum without a hitch. On those rare occasions where it doesn't, a quick wipe of the lid's edge with a damp cloth puts it back in business. The instructions claim all bubbles should be gone in about ten minutes, but I’m still seeing a few stubborn stragglers in my epoxy resin. Oddly enough, once I kill the vacuum and open the air valve, the last few bubbles vanish. I’m new to epoxy work, though, so I’m holding off on any deductions—it might be more about my technique than the tool’s performance.A few extra points that might be worth mentioning if you’re on the fence: The pump is relatively quiet for its size (just don't expect whisper-level hush), the gauge is easy to read, and the chamber’s acrylic lid is thick and clear, giving you a good view of what’s happening inside. The construction feels solid and is holding up well, even with constant exposure to dust and frequent cleaning. Setting up was straightforward, and the included instructions are decent—something that’s often overlooked in equipment like this. All in all, for a vacuum-chamber rookie like me, this kit does what it promises and seems built to last. If you're considering it for resin casting, degassing silicone, or other similar projects, it's a solid investment.

Review with relative coat considered
Overall, a great product and would purchase again. That being said there are some critics. First are minor and did not affect lost star. The instructions say to take to "30" of vacuum". The system would not take to that level, maxing out at ~23". The system has no leaks (when vacuum valve closed and pump turned off the system held at 23" for 2 hours, and the cactus juice bubbled the whole time. I suspect the issue is the gage is not calibrated or just inherently inaccurate. In the end as long as the system pulls a vacuum sufficient for the intended purpose, success. I took a star off for two reasons. First, the instructions are horrible. For no additional cost, pictures of each process could easily be added, as well as more clear instructions. An example is where to wrap the Teflon tape (provided). The second reason is the hose clamps suck. Turning them closed with any screw driver caused them both to strip. The reason is the screw follow through hole on the screw cage was not completely clear. A 5mm socket wrench allowed me to torque it enough to break through to the other side. One of them the hex head was poorly milled with a gob of metal keeping the socket from fitting. Bottom line, I recommend working the hose clamp before attaching it. Don't be surprised if you have to purchase a hose clamp. Another thing that spending a couple cents more on a little bit better hose clamp would be great.Anyway, assembly took about 15 minutes (most of that time spent jacking with the rinkydink hose clamps). For a budget vacuum tank it works great.

Works great
This vacuum pump and chamber works great. I haven't had any issues with the top sealing.I do not like the hose that came with it and will likely make something out of an old HVAC manifold hose.Make sure you release the vacuum slowly with the pump side closed and don't turn the pump off without closing the pump side valve first. I opened the vent valve real quick while the pump valve was open and ended up sucking some pump oil into the hose. Luckily it easily drained back to the pump afterwards.I will update my review after I try the vacuum pump on a few HVAC applications.
